Willowbrook Hospice is a purpose-built independent hospice opened in 1997. It is an adult hospice caring for patients with specialist palliative care needs, serving the community of St Helens and Knowsley. It was built with the support of local people. We work in partnership with acute hospitals, primary care, community services and voluntary organisations to care for and help around 1,000 patients, their families and carers every year who are affected by cancer and non-cancer life-limiting illnesses. We have a well-earned reputation for the delivery of high-quality care that is special and unique to each individual person and which enables around 50% of inpatients to return home after treatment.
The Hospice continues to be supported by the generous donations of local people but is part-funded by St Helens CCG and Knowsley CCG who provide approximately a third of the running costs. It offers care and support for adults with life-limiting illnesses.
The new post of Corporate Director will work alongside the Medical Director and Clinical Director as an Executive Management Team in running Willowbrook Hospice.
