Job description

Wirral Mencap is a local independent charity that promotes equality for people with a learning disability - helping them to discover new opportunities, make new friends and feel valued and safe in their community. We deliver a range of projects and services that improve health and wellbeing, reduce isolation, support skills development and help families avoid crises.

We are seeking a highly skilled, motivated Caseworker to play an active role in achieving the aims of the Wirral Mencap Information and Advocacy Service by providing information, advice and advocacy support to people with a learning disability and/ or their parents and informal carers.

You will be responsible for your own diverse caseload as well as working proactively with the team to create and deliver events and workshops that support and empower people with a learning disability and their families. This is an exciting new role for a confident individual who is passionate about supporting people to access their rights and achieve their goals.

Wirral Mencap can offer a friendly and collaborative work environment, with the opportunity to have a tangible and positive impact on the lives of people with a learning disability in Wirral.

If you think you have the qualities and skills needed for this post, then we would love to hear from you.
