Chair of Trustees (Voluntary)

Can you help rapidly grow our services to support people across the whole of Surrey?


If you answered yes to these 4 questions, how does this role sound to you?         


As the new chair of the board of trustees you will:


  • Ensure that Woking Mind has the maximum positive impact for all service users.


  • Act as an ambassador and a public face of Woking Mind, using your network to develop relationship with a range of stakeholders as we continue to expand our range of services and geographical reach.


  • Lead a board that reflects the diverse community we support; ensuring it has the skills, knowledge and experience it needs to meet today’s objectives and tomorrow’s challenges.


  • Work with the chief executive to support policy making and with the board to ensure the good governance of the charity.



Woking Mind has existed for over 40 years. With an experienced chief executive and leadership team, it has grown enormously in the last 18 months and income has increased 5 fold in the last 3 years. This is an exciting time to join the charity as it continues to expand its service offering and geographic reach.
