Senior Sexual Violence Helpline Practitioner (Female Applicants Only)
Starting salary £34,000 per annum | Full-time (35 hours / 5 days per week) | Permanent
This role will involve regular office based working (2 days a week on Tuesdays & Thursdays in Vauxhall office) as well as remote working, and will include occasional travel across London in line with service delivery and organisational requirements. This role will involve working a Wednesday evening shift (1pm-9pm) on a rota basis (approx. every 6 weeks).
About the role
As a result of increased funding for Women and Girls Network’s (WGN) successful Pan London Sexual Violence Helpline Service, we have created an exciting new role of Senior Sexual Violence Helpline Practitioner; to support the expansion of this trauma-informed, intersectional and woman-centred emotional support service.
You will provide validating and transformative emotional support to survivors of sexual violence, amplifying survivors’ voices and supporting them on their unique journey of recovery and healing. You will be at the heart of an exceptional team, providing day to day guidance and support to volunteers and practitioners; enabling the delivery of an innovative, responsive, trauma-informed and culturally appropriate service for the survivors of sexual violence
About you
We are looking for highly motivated, inspirational and dynamic practitioner with proven experience in delivering frontline sexual violence / violence against women and girls (VAWG) services, as well as experience in providing effective guidance, support and coordination for volunteers / wider team. If you have the necessary experience, skills and commitment and are passionate about supporting survivors of sexual violence we would love to hear from you!
