Manager, Global Programme Funding Opportunities
Women for Women International (WfWI) is an international NGO that helps women survivors of war to rebuild their lives. We believe that with access to rights, education and resources, women can lead change towards peaceful and stable societies. Since establishment in 1993, WfWI has worked with over 500,000 women in Afghanistan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Iraq, Kosovo, Nigeria, Rwanda and South Sudan. The UK office was established in 2006, and has steadily grown its programme funding from grants from various sources, including governments, trusts and foundations, companies, and individuals.
We are seeking to appoint a Manger, Global Programme Funding Opportunities to support the Global Business Development team in our busy and dynamic organisation.
Women for Women International has the ambition to significantly increase grant funding to support programming that has proven to be transformative for marginalized women survivors of war in fragile and conflict affected countries. The Manager, Global Program Funding Opportunities will be an important member of the 11-person Global Business Development team, supporting on our global business development strategies related to proposal development. The Global Business Development team sits within the Global Programs Unit, which also includes sub-teams focused on program design, monitoring and evaluation, country office support, and grants management. This position will work and coordinate especially closely with WfWI’s country offices and program design team to ensure all proposals include strong content and compelling projects that are feasible and aligned with organizational priorities.

Location: Flexible wherever we have an existing WfWI office, including London, UK
Working Pattern: Full time, 35 hours per week

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Extensive knowledge in fundraising, preferably across at least two funding channels (i.e., foundations, corporate partnerships, or government) for an international NGO.
Outstanding achievements in fundraising with evidence of personal engagement and leadership of successful, large, and complex proposals and pitches.
Adopts a growth mindset and has demonstrated experience in relationship-based fundraising strategies.
Ability to working cross-departmental, cross-country contexts with a proven record of building, managing and working with virtual teams
Current and strategic understanding of global humanitarian, development and gender funding environment and future trends.
Excellent spoken and written English to include research, writing, and communication skills.
Commitment to and respect for Women for Women International’s mission and values
Computer skills including working with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Email.
Experience with Salesforce preferred.
Ability to travel and work flexible hours may be required.
