Job description

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of Women in Prison’s Bluebird service. The service works alongside partner agencies to provide psychologically informed support to women who have experienced complex trauma and are screened into the National Probation Service’s ‘Offender Personality Disorder Pathway’.

We are recruiting x2 Female Enhanced Engagement and Relational Support Workers to provide in-depth advocacy, advice and support to a caseload of women who have multiple intersecting needs including a significant history of trauma, mental ill health and/or a diagnosis of personality disorder. Historically other services may have struggled to engage with these women.

We actively encourage applications from candidates from a variety of backgrounds, and with a range of skills and experiences. We are particularly interested to hear from Black, Asian and minoritised women and women who have personal experience of the criminal justice system.This role is only open to women, in accordance with the sex-based exemptions of the Equality Act 2010 pursuant to Schedule 9, Part 1.
