Job description

WAND UK is looking for a committed and motivated Head of Fundraising. Do you want to do something to help vulnerable women in disadvantaged communities in London?  Have you got a strong track record of writing bids and securing funding and excellent communication skills?  If so, this exciting opportunity could be for you. WAND UK has been helping disadvantaged women including Black Asian Minority Ethnic Refugee (BAMER) women, migrants, asylum seekers, lone parents, unemployed, low income families, domestic violence victims, women infected and affected by HIV, and with low level education to become agents for their own change. We see around 200 people at our Food Distribution Centre each week and provide a multilingual, multicultural, emotional wellbeing support service and normally a therapeutic space (now online) with activities that help people who have complex health conditions and mental health issues. We have a mixed funding base and we are looking for a suitable candidate to maintain and further develop this to help secure the Charity’s future.

The role requires someone who is self motivated with a strong work ethic and determination, and a great empathy for the clients we work with.
