Woodhouse College is a popular and oversubscribed sixth form college of around 1500 full-time students, all on A level courses, on a pleasant campus in North London. We are seeking an Assistant Accountant who is part-qualified, computer literate and has accounts experience. The successful candidate will have good communication skills and be able to work efficiently to deadlines in a busy but friendly team consisting of the College Accountant, a Finance Assistant and a Lettings Officer. The College offers a very attractive pension scheme and holiday allowance, and a cycle to work scheme. We promote health and wellbeing and provide an excellent employee assistant programme which is free to all staff.
This is a permanent, part-time post all year round, that can either be worked as 3 full days or 4 or 5 shorter days; for the right applicant we could offer some flexibility with regards to actual working weeks.
The salary will be on point 35 of the support staff salary spine, currently £28,371 pro rata, per annum according to experience, plus £2,571 London Weighting pro rata, per annum. The actual salary would therefore be £18,565 inclusive, based on working 3 days per week (0.6 FTE) or 21.6 hours per week.
