Job description

The Frontier Learning Trust is a multi-academy trust comprising two organisations: Woodhouse College and the Imperial College London Mathematics School (ICLMS) which is due to open in September 2023.  This post has overall responsibility for the management of information systems, data and IT systems across the Trust’s two schools.  Whilst a major part of the role is to develop and strengthen the College’s established systems this will be complemented by taking a leading role in establishing new systems at ICLMS so they meet its needs and are compatible as necessary with the College and the Trust.

The post-holder will be responsible to the Senior Leadership Team for the creation, maintenance, development and operation of the Trust’s Management Information and Communications systems, including hardware, applications, systems software, and data communications systems.

This is a great opportunity to take a pivotal role at the heart of an outstanding sixth form college. You will be responsible for data capture and submission systems, but also the provision and use of data across the College, and through our VLE and website. This is very much a hands-on role, but with considerable input into leaders’ decision making at the highest levels. It is a senior role in the College, reporting directly to the Senior Leadership Team.

The postholder will line manage the Head of IT Services who oversees the College’s IT infrastructure.  The post also includes leading on MIS and IT matters for the Frontier Learning Trust and helping to establish systems for the new Imperial College London Mathematics School.

We seek someone with excellent ICT and analytical skills, along with the vision to continue the development of college systems. The successful applicant will also have very good communication skills, the ability to interpret complex technical processes for the benefit of managers and users, and outstanding problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.

To apply and for more information, please visit the vacancy area on the Woodhouse College website.  Alternatively, contact the personnel team at the College for more details.

The closing date for applications is at 9.00 am on the 13 December 2021.  Please note that interviews will be taking place on Thursday 16 December.
