The Role

Worcester Community Trust is looking to appoint a Director of Operations to lead on the Trust’s Service Delivery. This is a key role within the senior management team, responsible for leading the Operational Delivery in line with the objectives in the new WCT Strategic Plan 2021-25.

The Trust delivers a range of services that make a big difference to the daily lives of people in our communities. You will support our teams who deliver services which aim to increase feelings of wellbeing, reduce loneliness and isolation, offer specialist support for survivors of domestic abuse, support people into training, education and employment and work with people to deliver local services especially for young people, families and older people.

The main purpose of the role is to lead strategic operational service delivery for the Trust, including the direct management of the Domestic Abuse and Wellbeing Service. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering audits across all services, leading risk mapping and developing the Trust’s risk management process, as well as actively identifying funding sources to sustain and enhance service provision across WCT.

Essential criteria:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in leading operational or service delivery teams, preferably within domestic abuse and/or wellbeing services
  • An excellent people manager with at least 3 years’ staff management experience
  • Experience in supporting strategic development to fulfil organisational vision and mission
  • Experience of writing successful funding bids and contract tenders
