Worcester, Worcestershire
£25,000 per year
Temporary, 6 month contract, Full-time
Job description

The role of the EDI Officer will be to mobilise and drive the EDI strategy, to deliver awareness raising and embedding of EDI principles in the Trust, to provide support and challenge to senior leadership and to develop a longer term (three to five year) EDI programme that will be integrated into our next Strategic Plan from 2022.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about EDI and who will celebrate diversity and encourage equality and inclusivity amongst all of our workforce whilst also embedding inclusion in all of our processes and policies. You will be visible across the Trust and will be seen as the ‘go-to’ person for EDI insight and advice.

You will need a solid understanding of all aspects of EDI. You will also have the skills and expertise to lead the implementation of the next phase of our strategy across the organisation.

You will need to be comfortable working in a rapidly changing area of work and be an excellent communicator and team player who has attention to detail.

We’ll look to you to challenge existing practices and to design and implement new and improved ways of working.

With a relevant qualification in EDI, HR or another related discipline, you will have substantial experience of developing and implementing new EDI approaches and initiatives, preferably within a voluntary sector environment. This should be backed by expert knowledge of EDI practices and excellent project management skills. Creative and with a forward-thinking approach, you’ll also have excellent communication skills and the ability to persuade and influence at all levels.

Deadline: Midnight on Tuesday 30th November 2021
Interviews: week beginning 6th December 2021

We want our people to be as diverse as nature so we particularly encourage applications from people who are underrepresented within our sector, including people from minority ethnic backgrounds and people with disabilities.  We are committed to creating a movement that recognises and truly values individual differences and identities.
