Are you passionate about helping people to turn their lives around?
Working Chance is a unique, award-winning charity helping women with convictions - many of whom have been in prison - to develop their employability and self-belief and find a job they can thrive in.
This role supports women to engage with our services and to build their confidence and work-readiness, including helping them to address any needs that might act as barriers to their employability, such as housing problems, debt and domestic violence. When the women are work-ready, they move to our team of recruitment consultants who help them to find the right job.
The ideal candidate will be highly empathetic with fantastic people skills, able to quickly build rapport both with individuals and in group settings. You’ll be involved in delivering workshops (including in women’s prisons) on topics such as wellbeing and confidence, and practical skills such as CV writing, interview techniques and how to disclose criminal convictions at job interviews, so confidence and charisma is essential!
Some experience of working with women who have faced significant adversity is vital and knowledge of the criminal justice system would be an advantage.
To apply, please send a CV and a supporting statement of no more than two sides of A4 telling us exactly why you’re the right person for the job.
