About the role
We are looking for an experienced Business Development and Relationship Manager who will join our small team responsible for generating new business and fostering long term relationships with our employer members and corporate clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Identify new business opportunities and markets

Create and convert a strong pipeline of new business opportunities ensuring sales targets and KPIs are met

Establish and maintain strong relationships with organisations in order to ensure client retention and further business opportunities

Provide excellent customer service and manage the delivery of membership and client services

Keep abreast of industry developments and market trends

Participate in running a programme of virtual and face-to-face Working Families corporate events
-
Present, participate & network at external virtual and face-to-face events
General Responsibilities:

Participate, as appropriate, in staff forums and meetings

Adhere to Working Families’ policies and procedures

Carry out reasonable requests that are within the broad remit of the role

Help promote and maintain Working Families profile
Essential experience / skills /knowledge
-
At least 5 years’ experience working with businesses/organisations
-
A proven track record of success in business to business sales
-
Passionate about excellent client service with proactive, customer-centric attitude
-
Ability to cope with conflicting demands and prioritise tasks to meet strict KPIs
-
Commercially aware with good business acumen and financial awareness

Engaging and succinct writing skills, excellent oral communication, interpersonal skills and experience of using a CRM.

Proven experience of establishing rapport, credibility, and collaborative relationships with business customers, partners, and stakeholders

Success in working independently and as part of a team

Desirable qualifications and experience

Educated to degree level or with relevant experience in a new business development role
