Working Well is a mental health and employment charity working mainly in the East End of London.  All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of those with mental health experiences through training and employment.  We are an IPS Centre of Excellence.

Employment Specialist post:

We believe that everyone who wants to work can work. If you share this belief then our employment support service is looking to recruit a full time employment specialist to join our established Employment Services team.  

Working Well Employment Specialists work with clients to identify their employment needs and then actively support them to achieve their employment goals, often engaging employers directly to secure jobs.  We focus on people’s strengths and potential, working with clients who want to find work regardless of their experience level and background.  In fact, we actively avoid using the phrase "job ready" as the only criteria is whether someone wants to get a job.  We work to IPS principles but experience of this employment support model is not essential as long as you share our commitment to supporting people to find the right job for them. 

Ideally the successful candidate will have a strong track record of employer engagement, possibly from a marketing or recruitment background.  You must be comfortable in approaching employers, persuading them to use our service, working with them to recruit our clients to fill vacancies and sustain employment. 

You will work closely with mental health teams, providing a coordinated approach that always remains client led.  This post will cover two local teams; enhanced primary care and a community mental health team.  You will also be in working to targets whilst maintaining a high-quality service.
