Working Well is a mental health and employment charity working mainly in the East End of London. All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of those with mental health experiences through training and employment. We are an IPS Centre of Excellence.
Women’s Employment Worker:
We would like to recruit someone to the new post of Women’s Employment Worker to join our employment team. The post is for 27 hours per week.
We want to address the challenges faced by many women with lived experience of mental health issues to improve their career prospects by supporting them out of low paid jobs to careers that provide better opportunities, better pay and/or a better work-life balance.
You will support clients to develop a plan their career progression, supporting them to access training, education, confidence building and/or wellbeing activities that will help them to achieve their short and long term goals.
You will also work with current and/or new employers to help your clients access jobs with their current employer or with a new employer.
Ideally the successful candidate will have a strong track record of employer engagement and of employment support. You must be comfortable in approaching employers, working with them to support client’s goals and to deal with any in-work issue.
