About Us:

Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting is the world’s only movement for every girl and any girl because we believe that each of them deserves to be the best they can be. Free to make what they want from the Movement, girls learn by doing, make friends and have fun. In safe, local spaces, girls develop the skills and attitudes to change themselves, their communities and our world.

The World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) keeps the global Movement thriving, united and growing. We support our Member Organisations in 150 countries, which give some of their almost 10 million individual Girl Guides and Girl Scouts the opportunity to develop their leadership skills, speak out on issues that are important to them and make changes in their communities and countries.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to manage a small HR team in order to deliver effective human resources support to a global workforce. This is a generalist role, looking at both strategic and operational HR.

At present, WAGGGS has circa 50 employees based in the UK within both the London Head Office and home workers. There are also circa 40 employees based globally and managed remotely.

About You:

As a successful candidate, you will have a strong background in undertaking and overseeing a full range of HR activities including some of the following:

- Recruitment
- Employee relations
- Change management
- Performance management
- Workforce planning
- Pay and payroll preparation for World Bureau and international payrolls
- Administration of pensions

You will have a proven track record of building and maintaining relationships including working with employees remotely across a variety of time-zones.

The ideal candidate will have a ‘can-do’ attitude, excellent interpersonal skills, be highly organised and team-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Fluency in written and spoken English is essential, with knowledge of French or other languages desirable but not essential.

If you care about opportunities for girls around the world and can quickly begin managing a newly put together HR function, then this role may be for you!

What You Can Expect from Us:

- 26 days’ annual leave plus public holidays
- Flexible working
- 5% Generous Matched Pension Contribution
- Life Assurance
- Season Ticket Loan
