Job Purpose

Are you a brilliant storyteller who can write engaging and inspiring content that gets people talking, sharing and giving?

World Vision is looking for an experienced and creative individual to join us as our Editorial Content Manager. Playing a vital role in our creative services team, you’ll be responsible for developing and writing stand out editorial content for a variety of audiences and communication channels. You’ll put the audience at the forefront of everything you create, delivering content that inspires, builds trust and provokes action. You will manage the delivery of a flexible and efficient copywriting service for the wider Public Engagement department.

Building our brand will be an important part of your role and you’ll help develop the organisation's tone of voice and brand narrative, ensuring both are implemented consistently across our communications. You’ll also turn brilliant ideas into compelling written content that’s relevant and useful to our audiences, engaging them in the breadth of our work and impact, and building trust in what we do.

You will be a gifted writer with outstanding editing skills, an understanding of SEO, and a clear sense of how a story can be brought to life across different formats, particularly digital. You’ll have experience of managing briefs from initial concepts right through to finished content. And you’ll be a brilliant collaborator who’s able to work with teams across the organisation.

As an active Christian, this role offers you the opportunity to integrate your Christian faith and be sensitive to its various expressions across cultures and denominations.

In addition to the salary offered, we offer good benefits including pension, generous holiday entitlement and free parking.

Please upload your CV of full employment history explaining any gaps of employment and reasons for leaving your previous employer. This must be accompanied with a covering letter stating how you meet the essential criteria given in the Job Description.
