How better to use your financial expertise than in helping to ensure the successful strategic delivery of fundraising and communications plans for the world’s leading independent conservation organisation? This role is vital in enabling and assisting decision making to support our ambitious growth strategy. Have you the skills we need?

As Head of Commercial Finance, you will inspire your team to deliver first class business partner support to our fundraising and communications departments. This will involve producing accurate and timely financial management reporting, forecasting, budgeting and long-term financial projections/plans. You will also provide expert professional recommendations to ensure our financial stability, value for money as well as optimal allocation of resources. You will support budget-holders and management to utilise budgets effectively and make good finance-related strategic decisions. You will evaluate the financial aspects of all business cases and investment appraisals too.

In addition, you will deliver financial performance reporting for key departments as well as clear analysis and authoritative advice. This may involve investigation and interpretation of complex and diverse information that maybe as a result of own initiative or as a result of requests from senior management. Important, will be the ability to build a high performing Commercial Finance unit that reflects the latest professional and technical developments and best practice.

An inspirational leader you will be a Qualified Accountant (to CCAB standard) with significant experience of producing and presenting complex financial information for senior management. You will be used to delivering value-added reporting and business planning too.

An effective project manager, you will have an eye for detail and well-developed analytical abilities as well as the expertise to motivate and develop direct reports. Critically, you will favour a collaborative working style and possess outstanding interpersonal, influencing and communication skills.
