Our planet is in peril and as the world’s leading independent conservation organisation, we are on a mission to make our voice the loudest and most respected in helping to save the planet and provide a future where people and nature thrive.  

We now have an incredible opportunity for a senior level events professional, with extensive experience of third party and mass participation events, to grow, develop and deliver an events strategy to maximise income and inspire more people to join the fight for our world.

As Head of Events you will stretch and refresh the existing events portfolio as well as lead the development of new products, events and partnerships. We will look to you to deliver against income and expenditure budgets and plans. This will involve inspiring and motivating a growing team responsible for the management, planning, promotion and delivery of all third-party and owned events. You will be responsible for designing an effective marketing strategy and accountable for the delivery of an innovative event programme. You will also ensure our event protocols and processes deliver a best in class participant experience. You will identify new opportunities in the marketplace and expand existing relationships too. Important will be the ability to review effectiveness and use insight and analysis to inform and drive business development,

To succeed, you must have extensive event management expertise and a record of third party and mass participation delivery. Comfortable launching new products and events you will be able to oversee significant and complex budgets. Effective at developing strategy you will be expert at delivering tactically. A good project manager, you will be able to manage multiple stakeholders and motivate a team. You will possess first class interpersonal skills, with high levels of gravitas, resilience and emotional intelligence too. You will be the sort of person who can build rapport and respect from a wide range of talented people. You will also be able to demonstrate a commitment to the natural world and our core mission too.
