Up to £35,000

Fixed Term Contract

Living Planet Centre Woking

If you understand the urgent need to restore nature and have successfully managed a portfolio of trusts, foundations and individuals, then this role of Philanthropy Manager with the world’s leading independent conservation organisation may be the perfect opportunity for you.

This role is focused on tackling the critical challenges facing our planet by maximising the vast, yet mostly untapped, potential of environmental philanthropy at a time when it is needed more than ever.

As Philanthropy Manager you will help build long term relationships with a range of philanthropic donors including trusts, foundations and high net worth individuals. Working with donors giving £10,000 upwards, including a large mixed portfolio of individuals and trusts, you will work to achieve ambitious targets by leading on engagement activity.

This will involve producing motivational and meaningful communications, proposals, philanthropy events and peer hosted dinners. Your remit also involves collaborating with different teams across the organisation to ensure funding opportunities from individuals and trusts are taken forward and maximised.

To play your part in saving our planet, you will have successfully managed a portfolio of trusts and foundations and/or individuals and have a track record of delivering income targets. You will be used to working with high net worth individuals and be expert at identifying and tracking new funding opportunities. You will be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the philanthropic sector and of fundraising mechanisms available for the building of lucrative, long-term relationships.

An accomplished project manager, you will be commercially astute with excellent communication and influencing skills, excel at building long term relationships and be the type of person who thrives in a fast-paced, high performing environment.
