Senior Events Fundraising Manager

£37,679 - £42000pa

Woking, Surrey KT3 4JR

If you have extensive experience of managing and delivering complex events with significant income targets, we can offer you an amazing opportunity to use your expertise to save our planet. At WWF UK we are focussed on creating a world where people and wildlife can thrive together. We are now looking for a Senior Events Fundraising Manager to help attract, engage and inspire members of the public to join us and financially support our work by taking part in or organising events in their local communities, schools or workplaces.

This is an exciting time to join the world's leading independent conservation organisation. We are rapidly growing the fundraising team and have ambitious plans to generate significant income growth through incredible events. You will play a key role in helping achieve this goal.

As Senior Events Fundraising Manager, you will manage and grow our third-party challenge events portfolio. Responsible for the line management of members of the challenge events team, you will provide support and expert advice as well as work closely with the Head of Events to implement our event fundraising strategy. You will be involved in developing, managing, and monitoring complex event budgets, in addition to overseeing multi-channel marketing campaigns and supporter journeys. You will also build and maintain relationships with a range of internal and external contacts, to help us implement and grow our offering. You will use supporter insight, data and external trend analysis to identify opportunities to develop our challenge programme too. Important will be the ability to ensure fundraising activities are of the highest standards and provide supporters with the best possible experience, whilst maximising income for our work.

You must have extensive experience of managing and delivering complex events with significant income targets, including international challenge/sports events. This will have given you a good understanding of the Fundraising Code of Practice and the legislation surrounding charity fundraising and data protection. Effective at managing people, you will be target orientated and comfortable setting and overseeing budgets.

Able to manage multiple projects, you will be highly organised and effective at prioritising and meeting deadlines. You will also possess excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills.

If you have the expertise and passion needed to build a movement for nature, we would love to hear from you. Please visit our website via the link and submit a copy of your up to date CV and the Supporting Statement to highlight what makes you a good fit for us.

Every role at WWF is open to applications from all sections of society. We believe in the potential of everyone regardless of; sex, race, religion or belief, ethnic origin, different physical ability, family structure, socio-economics, age, nationality or citizenship, marital, domestic or civil partnership, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other aspect that makes you, well you.  Here at WWF we’re committed to conscious inclusion that helps cultivate an ethos of belonging, connection and shared purpose.  We believe that the more diverse we are the better we become; this brings us together and empowers us to develop, engage and inspire; and critically to help build a future where people can live in harmony with nature.

Our policies and benefits reflect the importance of people being able to have a good work-life balance and being able to bring their ‘full self’ to work.

Our world needs you like never before. We are the first generation to know we are destroying the world and we could be the last that can do anything about it. We’re looking for people who are passionate about making it politically, socially and economically unacceptable to destroy our planet’s natural resources. We need you to join us in the fight for our world.
