Antibiotic resistance is on the rise, both nationally and globally. Bacteria become resistant to antibiotics, rendering many treatments useless. Already an estimated 12,000 people die each year in the UK as a result of antibiotic resistant infections with 10 million deaths predicted globally each year from resistant illnesses by 2050. We need to develop new treatments today so we can protect the future.
Our charity, the world’s first to tackle this problem, through research, education and patient support, is rapidly growing. We currently have a home-based freelance fundraising job vacancy in the North of England. Our ideal candidate is a dynamic fundraiser to support our charity’s Trusts and Major Gifts national fundraising programme. This person must bring energy, enthusiasm and experience to the role and help us realise our ambitious goals.
