Job description

The Fundraising Specialist is a new role that has been created to support and lead the continued implementation of YMCA DLG’s first fundraising strategy which sets out our ambition to increase our fundraising income from £240k to over £1,000,000 in four years. As a dedicated fundraising professional, this role will be critical in helping us to build external awareness and understanding of the fantastic work of the YMCA DownsLink Group in Sussex and Surrey. 


The YMCA is an historical and iconic institutional Brand, but although most people have heard of the YMCA, very view are aware of what the Charity does. Proactive networking and continued contact with different external audiences will be vital to the success of the fundraising strategy and the development of our YMCA.


The role will be an essential part of the fundraising and communications strategic planning, working very closely with the communications team to develop resources and products which motivate external support of our work. The role is also expected to be very hands on, ensuring that wider project teams are comfortable with outreach and have the programmes and support they need to generate local support.
