Support Project Worker

We are looking for a Support Project Worker to join our dynamic team at the Eastbourne Foyer. You will support a caseload of young people to develop living skills such as cleaning, budgeting, managing behaviour, seeking and securing employment and making wise decisions. You will bring your own individual and unique qualities to the team for the betterment of the team dynamic. You will work on a rota shift pattern, ensuring young people at the service have non-judgemental, objective and supportive staff during the day. You will develop your working knowledge of psychological models to aid in creating and finding solutions with the young people in the service. You will also support young people to safeguard themselves against abuse and risk. In addition, you will complete reports, support plans and risk assessments on time and to a high standard.
Based on site, this role is on a seven-day rolling rota, including weekends and bank holidays, with shifts of 7.30am - 3.30pm, 12 - 8pm and 2 - 10pm working two weekends on shift. There is a small amount of lone working, but you will get to know the team and project, along with extensive training prior to starting on a rota.

This is a dynamic and varied role; you will enjoy being involved in the support and growth of young people and will be able to actively encourage residents into education, training, and employment. Ideally, you will have knowledge and experience of working with young people leaving care, along with an awareness of all aspects of safeguarding and housing. You will be passionate about supporting young people to lead in independent lives, enjoy working in an exciting, fast-paced environment, have a sense of humour and the drive to deliver an outstanding service. You will be able to facilitate a process of development that allows the young person to take the lead in identifying actions and goals, along with learning about the key risks, challenges, and opportunities for our client group.
