SENIOR SUPPORT WORKER
Job Type - Permanent/Full-Time
Hours - 35 hours per week (plus 5 hours paid lunch break)
Salary - £26,678 (base salary-£26,478 +£200 Unsociable Hours Allowance)
Location - West Yorkshire covering Leeds, Bradford, Halifax or Huddersfield

Nacro is launching CAS-2, a national service commissioned by Ministry of Justice to provide accommodation and support as an alternative to custody. We are looking for a number of Senior Support Workers to join us at an exciting time of change.
Who are we looking for?
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Support Worker to make a positive impact on the lives of service users by co-ordinating the provision of direct housing related support and housing management services. This will be achieved by working with area operation and central support teams and liaising with a range of external agencies and partners. You will report directly to Service Lead for your region.
The successful applicant will demonstrate a desire to coach and support their team and to lead by example in driving quality and accountability whilst delivering the contractual aims of the service.
You will have experience of working with stakeholders in the Criminal Justice System and be able to communicate effectively to partners and providers. This will include forming working relationships in the MoJ and with HMPPS, and also with external community agencies to better support the service.
You will have previous experience of supporting others and guiding them within a team as you will be required to support, coach and develop a staffing team and deputise for the Service Lead in their absence.
This role provides an excellent springboard into other criminal justice professions including experience of working with a range of criminal justice agencies. In addition, you will gain experience in liaising with local authority Housing Benefit departments and the DWP to resolve financial issues/queries.
This role requires regular travel and a Full Driving License with access to your vehicle are an essential criteria.
An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role, as well as registration on the DBS Update Service. These will be completed as part of the Pre-Employment Screening process.
This role also requires a Prison Clearance.

Position: Housing Officer – Specialised Supported Housing
Location: Tankersley, Barnsley (with travel from Durham to Worcester)
Salary Range: Circa £28,000.00
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
About the role:
As a Housing Officer, you will be the primary point of contact for tenants, providing general and intensive housing management services. From tenancy sign-ups to addressing property concerns, your role will be vital in sustaining excellent communities and ensuring tenant satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering housing management services, particularly for vulnerable tenants
- Handling general and intensive housing management responsibilities, including tenant engagement and resolving any tenancy breaches
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including tenants, support providers, and local authorities
- Ensuring delivery of excellent customer service tailored to individual tenant needs
- Collaborating with colleagues and partners to achieve shared objectives effectively
About you:
To be successful in the role of Housing Officer you will need the following skills and experience:
- At least 3 years’ experience working with the Tenancy Standard, Tenant Involvement and Empowerment Standard and the Neighbourhood and Community standard
- Knowledge of regulatory standards relevant to the role
- Experience of delivering excellent customer services that meet individual needs.
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively to achieve objectives.
- Problem-solving skills with a focus on customer service and satisfaction.
- The ability to drive and have a reliable vehicle available to use for work purposes with business insurance.
- CIH, IRPM, or equivalent qualification or degree (desirable).
