Practitioner - Missing from Home Service

Permanent contract until 31st July 2025

37 hours per week.

£23,855.76 per annum

Location: Bradford

The Children's Society has been helping children and young people in this country for over 140 years. We run local services that support children when they are at their most vulnerable and in desperate need of help. We're there for children, every step of the way.

We are recruiting a full-time role to this service. This role sit within our children and families directorate, which works to provide immediate one-to-one support for children who are reported missing from home. Your role will be to undertake Return Home Interviews within 72 hours to ensure that children and young people who are at risk of or are missing, are safeguarded and supported to reduce or prevent missing episodes.

Type of person we're looking for..

We are currently looking for a passionate and experienced practitioner to join our dynamic, ambitious team.

In order to be successful in this role, you must have:

-Experience of engaging and supporting children and young people on a 1:1 basis

-Experience of multi-agency working to safeguarding children and young people

-Knowledge of the child protection system and legislative framework

-A relevant professional qualification

-Ability to demonstrate professional curiosity
