Young Camden Foundation Clerk to the Trustee Board

The voluntary youth sector plays a vital role in the lives of young people, but the barriers they face are complex and won’t be solved in isolation. Young Camden Foundation is a membership-led organisation that aims to improve the life chances of children and young people in Camden by building capacity in the Children and Young People’s sector. Set up as a joint venture in May 2017 by London Borough of Camden and John Lyons Charity, YCF aims to provide a new model of local support.

COLLABORATION | We connect and work with organisations to develop and new and entrepreneurial approaches that will improve opportunities for young people

ADVOCACY | We champion Camden’s youth sector, working to raise the profile of existing youth services and influence decision making

We are looking for someone special to join our growing charity.  You will be responsible for:

  • Provide effective administrative support to the Board
  • Ensure the Board of Trustees is properly constituted
  • Manage information effectively in accordance with legal requirements
  • Provide procedural and governance advice to the Board of Trustees

We are looking for the right person with relevant experience in a similar role.

 Main purpose and scope of the job:

The successful candidate will possess excellent organisation, communication and ICT skills, and be familiar with maintaining confidentiality at all times.  They will ensure the smooth running of meetings, prepare meeting agendas, take accurate minutes, maintain the effective Governance of the Trustee Board and be a principle source of information on governance legislation and procedural matters where necessary before, during and after meetings.

Flexibility:

Home based, and attending Board meetings in our office - LABS Atrium, Stables Market, Chalk Farm Rd, London, NW1 8AH.

The post holder is expected to work flexibly including attending meetings out of normal office hours and occasional weekend work.

The Post holder will be required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
