Job Description

Job Title: Communications and Membership Manager

Location: Young Camden Foundation office

Salary: £30,756 - £35,229 pro rata depending on experience

Reporting to: CEO

Hours: 22.5 hours per week

The voluntary youth sector plays a vital role in the lives of young people, but the barriers they face are complex and won’t be solved in isolation. Young Camden Foundation (YCF) is an innovative cross-sector partnership, working with youth clubs, charities, schools, businesses and London Borough of Camden. Together we will shape opportunities and create the best services for children and young people in Camden through supporting and sustaining the children and young people’s sector.

Through our work we promote:

RESILIENCE | We work to build capacity and better equip the community with resources and funding 

COLLABORATION | We connect and work with organisations to develop and new and entrepreneurial approaches that will improve opportunities for young people

ADVOCACY | We champion Camden’s youth sector, working to raise the profile of existing youth services and influence decision making

Purpose of role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate, dynamic, and proactive individual to join the Young Camden Foundation as the Communications and Membership Manager. YCF is a membership organisation and crucial to the success of the role will be the ability to help build and manage the network by fostering good relationships and creating strong partnerships that are able to efficiently collaborate.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

This position will suit a self-motivated person capable of working within a fast-paced environment. Main duties will include:

  • Membership development through structured engagement by a range of mediums
  • Facilitating conversations between different stakeholders and supporting the actions that fall out from these discussions
  • Ensure we are as needs led as possible by maintaining a contemporary understanding of issues facing our members and children and young people.

You will be working closely with the CEO to develop and implement our strategy.  As the organisation and the team develops, your role is likely to adapt.
