This exciting role will lead on the development and operations of Young Roots’ services and projects in Croydon and surrounding boroughs. The Head of Services will be focused on ensuring Young Roots’ activities are values and outcomes driven, with excellent processes for project design and delivery. You will have a passion for youth participation and building on the strengths of young people. You will be focused on developing strong local partnerships and influencing local practice and networks. You will be the key contact for grants relating to Croydon, and be vital in developing funding partnerships and reporting our impact well. The Head of Services in Croydon is the organisational lead or deputy lead on Safeguarding. You will provide excellent leadership to your diverse team, have a focus on staff wellbeing, and devote time to your Senior Management Team responsibilities.
You will need to be excited to work within the framework of Young Roots’ values and have considerable experience of working with young refugees and asylum seekers. Excellent leadership and team management skills are required, along with a deep working knowledge of the UK asylum and social care systems for young refugees and asylum seekers.
An enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) certificate is required for this role.
