We are "Youth Mix" a new start-up young people’s charity that aims to become award winning by “Inspiring A Generation” and empowering young people through informal learning to be changemakers in their communities, and to deliver highly effective engaging, fun and impactful programmes that UNITE communities, EDUCATE on social issues and build skills, and INSPIRE a generation of leaders and active citizens.
We are looking for trustees with a background and / or experience in Fundraising/Grant Writing, Secondary School Education or Further Education or someone with previous charity/trustee experience, to join our recently formed board who share in our values and vision for Youth Mix and has a passion for the cause, who has the skills, qualities and expertise to help a startup young peoples charity in England (starting off in London as a foundation to use across other areas of England).
We are seeking an active and engaged member of the board, who will not only bring with them self motivation, time and dedication but will also bring passion, drive, enthusiasm and a real energy and buzz to the role, to really help us make a difference in the lives of young people aged 16 to 26 years old.
Trustee roles are usually governance and strategy based, but as a new startup and very small charity with no paid staff, Trustees will be expected to support in areas that would usually be designated for operational staff from time to time, such as fundraising and bid writing for example.
As this role is voluntary, the role offers great flexibility to fit around your time (including daytimes, evenings and/or weekends, however the majority of our work will take place at bi-monthly evening meetings and on occasional weekend days).
