You’ll be passionate about using research, evaluation and data to inform the way we work and advocate for change. We would particularly welcome applications from candidates who have experience of directly working with young people and who have strong quantitative analysis skills.
It will help to have a broad understanding of some or all of these key areas: children and young people and their engagement with music, equality diversity and inclusion, learning and participation, and the operating environment for charities and not-for-profits.
About the role
Working within the central hub of Youth Music’s operations team, you’ll play a key role in shaping and influencing how music-making is delivered to children and young people, ensuring that it is inclusive, accessible, high quality and relevant.
You’ll do this by contributing to both in-house and external research and evaluation projects. Ensuring that we learn from our own and others’ work and are able to communicate this learning to influence the work of other organisations. In particular, your quantitative analysis skills will help us to monitor how we’re doing against our key performance indicators.
About Youth Music
Youth Music funds music-making projects across England that help children and young people aged 0-25 to develop personally and socially as well as musically. We work particularly with those who don’t get to make music because of who they are, where they live, or what they’re going through.
