We create, develop and deliver programmes and initiatives that equip young people with vital skills for life.
As Head of Sport you will lead the development of our strategy for ‘Removing Barriers to Sport’ creating positive outcomes for young people through participating in sport and activity. This will include the development of coaching, competition, clubs and volunteering opportunities. You will work to understand the needs of young people, practitioners, schools, parents, community partners and funders as well as create innovative ideas and solutions to meet them. You will establish and manage relationships with key partner agencies and stakeholders too. Responsible for performance and high standards of customer care you will also set, monitor and manage KPIs and targets. Key will be the ability to inspire and lead direct reports, work collaboratively and foster a positive culture.
An accomplished people manager you know how to motivate and build high performing teams. You will have experience of sport development and will have been involved in developing and delivering interventions, professional development opportunities, resources and support tools. You will used to developing strategy and / or policy too.
An effective communicator, you will be skilled at influencing a range of audiences and building effective relationships. An excellent project manager you will have a track record of managing financials and delivering against targets.
