The role operates with significant autonomy, requiring independent initiative and workload planning and the ability to coordinate with other departments in IRW and various board’s stakeholders to ensure effective compliance, risk management and communication.

About you:

You will be a motivated, analytical professional with a strong experience in governance and a commitment to IRW’s mission and values.

You will ideally have:

• Governance or legal qualifications (e.g., Chartered Governance Institute or similar).
• Proven experience in board or executive-level administration, legal secretary, or governance role.
• Strong understanding of governance processes, preferably in the charity or third sector.
• Understanding of Charity Commission requirements.
• Exceptional organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
• High level of discretion and ability to handle sensitive information.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and hybrid meeting technologies.

About the role

This is a hands-on role where you'll take responsibility for coordinating and maximising digital channels, including website, email and paid-for ads. With a focus on understanding SEO optimisation and Google ads, you'll use analytics and insights to improve digital engagement and impact.

Of course, you'll be coordinating and designing engaging creative copy as part of this role, but we aren't looking for just a content creator. This role requires a digital-first approach, grounded in data, analytics and insight, to drive awareness, engagement and action.

The Head of Experience is a senior cross-organisational leadership role building and leading a new Experience function at the heart of the Engagement and Income Generation directorate.

About the Role

This role is a rare and exciting launchpad for an ambitious professional looking to step into major gift fundraising. About the role

You’ll carry out key administrative tasks, growing the support and development function of the Charity. This is an exciting opportunity to help Cambridge City Foodbank realise its vision of ending the need for foodbanks, through an ambitious strategy operating through networks of affordable food clubs, foodbank welcome centres, holistic support projects, and campaigning to change current systems which contribute to food insecurity.

Your tasks will include stewardship communications with individual donors and creating assets for community supporters to generate food and financial resources. You will assist the securing of income from grant giving trusts and foundations, and will undertake key executive assistant duties on behalf of the Development Director and CEO.

Main Duties:

● Develop strong individual donor relations through regular stewardship communications and powerful fundraising appeals, alongside establishing the associated data and systems;

● Create community development assets, which enables community groups to engage with and provide resources for the Charity, such as for charitable fundraising / food donation events.

● Together with the Development Director and CEO, secure income from, and maintain relations with grant giving trusts and foundations.

● Together with the Development Director and CEO, develop a team of volunteers who can support the work of the Charity’s development function.

● Support the Development Director and CEO, in their communication with supporters and corporate partners, to build good relations, gain and maintain corporate partner support.

● Liaise with colleagues across the Trussell Trust network; sharing best practice and participating in learning opportunities, to further the work of Cambridge City Foodbank.

● Other administrative activities may be requested from time to time by the CEO and Development Director, consistent with the needs of the Charity and role of Executive Assistant.

Personal Specification:

Technical skills and minimum knowledge:

● Strong administrative experience, highly organised, and able to effectively juggle multiple administrative tasks at the same time!

● Competent in the use of Zoom/Teams and MS Office software. Training will be provided to upskill in the use of Canva, Mailchimp, donor databases and social media (such as LinkedIn and Instagram).

● Excellent written and verbal communication and relationship management skills, you will inspire and motivate existing and prospective supporters, providing excellent stewardship and crafting compelling donor updates, applications and appeals.

NB. Experience of charitable fundraising is not essential when demonstrating the strong transferable skills above. Training will be provided.

The Brent Centre for Young People is the leading mental health charity for young people in Northwest London, helping over 750 young people a year with a wide range of issues. We are seeking an experienced, strategic and proactive fundraiser to join our growing team as we embark on our next phase of expansion. Building on strong foundations in trusts and foundations, BCYP is now investing in legacies and community fundraising, two income streams that will be central to our long-term sustainability and ability to reach significantly more young people in the years ahead.

This is a rare opportunity to help shape and grow our legacies and community fundraising at a pivotal point for the charity. You will define the approach, create a strong pipeline of supporters and partners, and deliver activities that build awareness and generate sustainable income, combining strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.

We’re looking for someone with energy, motivation and experience who thrives on building, someone who can turn ideas into action, work at pace and bring others with them. You will be confident developing and delivering supporter journeys, community fundraising initiatives and legacy marketing and stewardship, with strong relationship-building skills and excellent attention to detail. Above all, you will share BCYP’s commitment to ensuring young people can access specialist mental health support, and you will help us grow long-term value and impact through fundraising.

The role will lead the creation and delivery of Community Fundraising and Legacies programmes, establishing two core income streams that will drive sustainable growth. It will define strategy, build insight-led, multi-channel programmes and design supporter journeys that deepen engagement over time, from first gift to long term support and legacy giving.

Working across the organisation the postholder will embed a strong supporter focus, ensuring that fundraising is integrated into wider engagement activity. You will take ownership of income performance, budgets and continuous improvement through data, testing and learning.

The Role

Inscape house school is recruiting for a tutor to to deliver Animal Assisted Intervention (AAI) and teach animal care, welfare, and related work experience skills to students within our secondary provision. The Animal Assisted Intervention Tutor will design and deliver accessible, meaningful and aspirational animal-care and AAI-based learning opportunities, including accredited qualifications such as BTEC and/or ASDAN in Animal Care (or similar).

Inscape House School is a non-maintained ASC specialist day school for children and young people aged 5 to 19 years. It is part of the Together Trust, a charity that has been providing care, education and support in the Northwest of England since 1870. The post holder will be a member of Inscape House School on the Cheadle campus.

Reports: Deputy Head Teacher 

Responsibilities Include but are not exhaustive;

Teaching

• Work flexibly and adapt teaching strategies to ensure animal care and AAI content is accessible, inclusive, and responsive to individual learner needs.
• Embed Tier 1 universal support strategies within practical animal-care and AAI sessions to meet the diverse needs of learners with autism.
• Deliver accredited qualifications, including BTEC and/or ASDAN programmes in Animal Care (or similar), and support learners to build evidence for assessment portfolios.

Management of Staff

• Effectively deploy Education Assistants (EAs) to facilitate learning, ensuring that all support positively impacts on the development of every pupil’s independence.
• Work with colleagues to support students to plan, carry out and reflect on animal care routines and structured AAI activities.

Curriculum Knowledge 

• Have a secure knowledge of animal care, animal welfare and husbandry practice, and associated curricula (e.g. BTEC/ASDAN Animal Care or similar).

• Be able to foster and maintain pupils’ interest in your preferred key stage and subject, and address misunderstandings.
• Demonstrate an understanding of and take responsibility for promoting high standards of functional literacy, articulacy, and the correct use of Standard English and Numeracy within the context of animal care (e.g. care plans, observations/record sheets, measuring feed, timetables and routines).

 Accurate and productive use of assessment

• Know and understand how to assess pupil progress, including appropriate statutory assessment requirements.
• Make use of formative and summative assessment to secure pupils’ progress.
• Use progress data to monitor progress, set targets and plan subsequent lessons.

Professional Communication   

• Attend and contribute to pupils’ review meetings and multi-disciplinary team meetings. 
• Work with pupils, families and the multi-disciplinary teams to identify pupil centred goals.
• Demonstrate skill in communicating with pupils with autism and a range of physical, cognitive, and communication difficulties.  

Training

• Comply with the school’s mandatory training requirements.
• Attend conferences and meetings including professional shows as required.  
• Attend external and internal training courses as agreed for continual professional development and meeting appraisal objectives.  
• Read current literature on autism and special educational needs and to disseminate information to the rest of the staff team. 

About You

• Experience in animal care/animal welfare (e.g. kennels, stables, farms, rescue, shelters, zoos, veterinary environments, or education-based animal provision)
• A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd) QTS/QTLS
• Vocational Qualifications: 
• A Level 3 (or higher) qualification in Animal Care, Animal Management, Animal Science, Equine Management, or a related subject (or equivalent substantial industry experience).
• Evidence of relevant training such as animal welfare, safe handling/restraint, infection control, risk assessment, and/or Animal Assisted Intervention practice.
• Experience of successful work with pupils displaying challenging behaviour.
• Ability to identify, clarify, prioritise and solve problems as they arise.
• The ability to use information technology to communicate with others, track academic progress and share planning and resources.
• Knowledge of Safeguarding and Keeping Children Safe in Education.
• Knowledge and understanding of strategies for inclusion and equal opportunities.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety expectations affecting children and adults across the school

BCYP has historically been very successful in raising funds from non-statutory sources, particularly trusts and foundations, and is grateful to hold a number of established relationships with grant-makers. We work hard to ensure that we submit excellent, data-driven applications and evaluations. To build on our track record, we are now looking to recruit a new member of the team, to help us to grow our income stream in this area and help us to steward key relationships.

Be responsible for all aspects of the Charity - dogs, people, facilities ,compliance and finances

Manage the charity and the skilled staff within it

Optimise the rescue of dogs and maintain the high quality of care currently in place

Drive the marketing, brand awareness and fundraising of the charity

Actively promote high standards of care with the staff and volunteers

Support and co-ordinate the volunteers, foster carers and members

About the team

We have an experienced team of 13 staff in place across the Charity. They are passionate about caring for the dogs and finding suitable loving homes for them in the next stage of their lives.

What we’re looking for

Essential

· A self starter with a  passion for improving the lives of the dogs in our care

· Proven senior leadership experience in a charity, animal welfare, or similar organisation.

· Strong understanding of animal welfare principles and UK legislation affecting rehoming charities.

· Demonstrated ability in strategic planning, team leadership, and financial oversight.

· Successful track record in fundraising, stakeholder engagement, and partnership building.

· Excellent communication, people management, empathy, and decision-making skills.

· Good listening skills and openness to staff proposals, suggestions. Utilisation of existing staff experience and qualifications

· Experience working directly in rescue, veterinary, or kennels environments.

· Knowledge of health and Safety and employment law

Desirable

· Knowledge of marketing, PR, and community engagement strategies.

· Qualification in charity management, business administration, or animal welfare.
