The role

We are seeking a motivated Business Development Intern to support our Development Team across fundraising, donor engagement, partnerships, and grants.

This full-time, 12-month internship offers hands-on experience within an international nonprofit and is ideal for someone passionate about social justice and international development.

Location: Hybrid (Hampton and remote)
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

Key responsibilities

Fundraising and campaigns

• Support planning, delivery, and evaluation of individual giving campaigns and fundraising events

• Research prospective donors and new fundraising opportunities

• Assist with fundraising-related social media and marketing content

• Track and report on fundraising performance and impact

• Support challenge and community fundraising events and participant management

Donor communications

• Draft and edit donor communications, including thank-you messages, newsletters, and appeals

• Support personalised donor stewardship and supporter journeys

Grants and proposals

• Research grant opportunities aligned with NO MORE’s priorities

• Assist with grant applications, submissions, and reporting

• Track deadlines and maintain accurate grant records

• Support collection of impact and monitoring data

Partnership and team support

• Support delivery of in-person and virtual partnership events

• Conduct research on fundraising trends and donor demographics

• Provide administrative support, including database management and scheduling

• Support fundraising reporting to the Board of Trustees
   

About you

You will have:

• A degree in Humanities, Social Sciences, Development or a related field

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

• Confidence using Microsoft Office or Google Suite (including Excel and Gmail)

• Strong research skills and ability to summarise information clearly

About the role

This role is pivotal in contributing to the overall mission of RFUK to protect rainforests and support Indigenous Peoples and local communities.

The Programme Support Officer will play a crucial role in ensuring sound management of specific projects in line with strategy, agreed budgets, log frames, work plans and procedures and ensuring compliance with donor requirements. This position involves a wide range of responsibilities, including monitoring project implementation and documentation, as well as ensuring timely and accurate reporting to donors in collaboration with team members and partners.

This is a full-time (35 hours per week) fixed-term role for 12 months, with the possibility of extension. The post can be based fully remotely in France or offered as a hybrid role from our London office, with at least 1 day per week in the office. About you

You are a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional with a background in project management, preferably in the NGO or international development sector. You possess excellent written and spoken fluency in both English and French, enabling you to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse teams and local partners.

Your experience includes supporting project and financial management, including close liaison with implementing partners, taking high quality meeting notes, and producing succinct reports. You have experience monitoring project implementation and ensuring compliance with donor requirements.

Your strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure make you an invaluable asset to any team.

Location

This role is offered as either a fully remote-based role in France, or as a hybrid role based in our Bethnal Green, London office. Here at Rainbows Children’s Hospice, we provide specialist palliative care and end-of-life support to over 750 Babies, Children, and Young People living with life-shortening and life-threatening conditions, as well as approximately 3,000 people, including families, siblings, and carers, across the East Midlands. Simply put, we’re here to brighten short lives and support families, wherever they are.

We are currently seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to join our dedicated Volunteering Team at Rainbows. Volunteers play a pivotal role in supporting every aspect of our vital work – from fundraising and events, to our retail shops and the hospice itself – with over 350 individuals generously volunteering their time, skills, and passion.

We are looking for a positive and enthusiastic individual who will help ensure volunteers feel welcomed, supported, and confident, enabling them to make a meaningful difference to children, young people and families across our services.

Location: Primarily an office-based role, at our hospice in Loughborough.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 am – 5 pm. Some flexibility is required, as occasional evening and weekend working and regional travel will be part of supporting volunteers.

About the role

As a Volunteer Coordinator, you will play a key role in shaping how people volunteer with Rainbows. You’ll lead on volunteer recruitment across the East Midlands, building relationships with communities and organisations, and supporting individuals to find opportunities that match their motivations, skills and strengths. Once volunteers are involved, you’ll help ensure they feel confident, informed and well supported, working closely with colleagues to create positive volunteering experiences.

Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

· Recruitment, Selection, and Induction: Be the first point of contact for volunteering enquiries and applications, ensuring a seamless onboarding process.

· Volunteer Support and Supervision: Act as the central point of contact for volunteers at Rainbows, offering guidance and support throughout their volunteering journey.

· Team Collaboration: Provide staff with proactive support and best practices for volunteer management, engagement, and stewardship.

· Operational Duties: Maintain accurate volunteer records, ensuring GDPR compliance, and provide KPI data as needed.

About the role:

We are looking to appoint a Family Support Manager on a full-time basis (35 hours, 5 days per week), to deliver a high-quality family support service as part of our Essex Care Team to families in the local area, at a time where they need it most.

The services have 15 and 20 bedspaces respectively, with shared communal facilities; the services support young people to manage their daily living activities in areas including finances and budgeting, developing life and work skills, and managing self-care.

We adopt a trauma informed and psychologically informed approach to supporting our residents to help them build essential life skills, identify their goals and work towards aspirations so that they can move on to enjoy fully independent futures.

We are looking for a Housing Night Worker to join our teams across Lansworth House and Gareth Stacey House, working flexibly between both sites to ensure young people are safe.

You will respond promptly to any reported incidents, accidents, or concerns, carrying out thorough checks and taking appropriate action to ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone on site. You will also take a proactive approach to preventing anti‑social behaviour, working closely with support staff to maintain a positive environment. In addition, you will carry out one‑to‑one interventions with young people who may be experiencing a mental health crisis or who require medical assistance, ensuring they receive timely and appropriate support.

• Work collaboratively on a four‑on, four‑off rota, providing consistent, non‑judgemental support overnight.

This role involves lone working, so you will need to be confident in decision‑making and in following procedures. However, before joining the rota, you will have the opportunity to get to know the team and services, take part in a full induction, complete the required training, and undertake shadow shifts to ensure you feel confident, supported, and well prepared.

We are seeking a passionate and committed Youth Engagement & Opportunities Coordinator to deliver engaging programmes and meaningful opportunities for young people seeking refuge. 

In this rewarding role, you will help young people build confidence, independence, and pathways into education, employment, and community life. You’ll also work closely with partners, alumni, and colleagues to ensure young people’s voices shape the services they receive. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Coordinate opportunities that support young people’s independence, wellbeing, and life skills 

• Enable access to education, employment, volunteering, and community activities 

• Build partnerships with employers, charities, and local organisations 

• Support youth voice, participation, and co-production across services 

• Develop and engage an active alumni network

About You 

• Experience in youth work, community development, or a related field 

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting wellbeing 

Desirable: 

• Experience working with asylum seekers or vulnerable groups 

• Knowledge of trauma-informed approaches (e.g. PACE, Trauma Recovery) 

• Additional language skills 

• Experience in partnership development or programme delivery

• Proven experience in board or executive-level administration, legal secretary, or governance role.

About the role

This is a hands-on role where you'll take responsibility for coordinating and maximising digital channels, including website, email and paid-for ads. With a focus on understanding SEO optimisation and Google ads, you'll use analytics and insights to improve digital engagement and impact.

Of course, you'll be coordinating and designing engaging creative copy as part of this role, but we aren't looking for just a content creator. This role requires a digital-first approach, grounded in data, analytics and insight, to drive awareness, engagement and action.

About you

You may be a digital marketing specialist already, or a marketing generalist with a keen interest to move into the digital space.

• Experience in a digital marketing, communications or content role.
