Key Tasks

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all high value fundraising activity, including proposals, applications, and donor interactions, and be able to regularly report this activity back to the Head of Philanthropy.

• Manage a portfolio of low-mid level prospects and existing donors, developing clear strategies to cultivate relationships and secure continued philanthropic support of £1,000 to £10,000. Ensure all donors in the assigned portfolio are provided stewardship and take responsibility for contacts and annual work plan.

• Develop and deliver a programme of cultivation, stewardship and recognition low-mid level donors and prospects, proactively seeking opportunities to improve the chances of securing repeat gifts through bespoke communications and consistent stewardship.

• Support the Head of Philanthropy and wider High Value Team with stewardship and cultivation of donors and key contacts. These activities may include virtual events, stewardship events, proposal development, annual reporting, and direct marketing appeals.

• Ensure the upkeep of a database and filing system for all existing and prospective donors within High Value Giving liaising with the Finance and Administrative team to ensure reconciliation with financial record.

• Work closely with the Philanthropy team and other colleagues to maximise all opportunities and support a dynamic, successful, and professional team

• Ensure that data security is maintained and that legal and regulatory requirements are fully complied with.

• Undertake other tasks, when necessary, to achieve the team’s and the organisation’s overall objectives.

 General

• Managing a complex workload with competing demands and deadlines. The role holder will agree objectives and overall priorities with the Head of Philanthropy but is expected to manage unexpected/unplanned work within overall timeframes.

• The post holder is required to work closely and collaboratively with colleagues within the Fundraising Team to ensure the successful delivery of fundraising activities.

• The post holder will require excellent communication and interpersonal skills as you will need to communicate effectively and sensitively, building strong relationships with existing and potential donors.

Experience

Essential

• Experience with interacting and developing relationships with supporters or customers using a variety of channels written and verbal.

• Ability to communicate in writing and orally in a succinct and engaging manner.

• Ability to deal with information in a confidential manner and respond with sensitivity.

• Ability to confidentially deal with all levels of staff and internal/external key stakeholders with integrity.

• Strong attention to detail

• Ability to work weekends/evenings on occasion to support events and other activities and willingness to travel within the UK as needed to support fundraising activities (most often travel to the London-based officer)

Desirable

• Experience developing and managing relationships with fundraisers and other stakeholders.

• A high level of enthusiasm, self-motivation and flexible approach.

• The ability to take initiative and work independently to manage pieces of work, including taking responsibility for managing projects.

 Priorities

• Taking over an existing portfolio of £1,000-£10,000 existing donors, responsible for stewardship (mid-level giving) including members of the Women’s Giving Circle

• Supporting gift recording, recognition and management across high value giving

• Opportunities to gain experience in corporate, major donor and trust and foundations through supporting more experienced colleagues working on 5 and 6 figure partnerships

• Provide administrative and project support across Philanthropy/High Value Giving

Job Outline:

We are looking for a highly motivated, organised individual with excellent attention to detail who has excellent written and communication skills and is positive, proactive, and eager to learn. You will be working in a small team so a hands-on, solution focused approach is a must.

You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with CFAB’s financial processes and procedures to ensure accurate preparation, processing, and maintenance of financial records. 

You will also be responsible for HR administration.

Key responsibilities:

Finance

· Code and process purchase invoices, staff expenses and obtain authorisation of expenditure as per financial procedures manual.

· Save copies of the Approval Max pdf’s in the Purchase folder.

· Prepare sales invoices to customers on the receipt of instruction from the social work team and email copy of invoice to customers.

· Liaise with the social work team to ensure sales invoice requests are generated for all Opportunities raised in Salesforce.

· Update Salesforce to reflect processed sales invoices.

· Maintain records of sales and purchase invoices in accordance with CFAB’s policies and procedures

· Banking of cheques received.

· Perform credit control duties according to the financial procedures manual.

· Handle and process all petty cash claims in accordance with CFAB policy, and ensure these are correctly authorised and reconcile the petty cash tin monthly.

· Maintain the files of supplier contracts including assisting the Finance Manager to review contracts periodically.

· Maintain the Local Authority Finance contacts spreadsheet.

· Assist the Finance Manager with the maintenance of the charity asset register.

· Assisting the Finance Manager to ensure suppliers and expenses are paid on time.

· Assist the Finance Manager with monthly reconciliations (e.g. ensure that all oncosts from ISW’s are recharged to Local Authorities accordingly).

· Be the key contact for any finance queries.

· Provision of management information and reports as required.

· Any other duties as required in support of the role.

Human Resources

• Assisting the FHR Manager with HR administration support, including recruitment administration, Data Protection, maintaining legally compliant and up to date HR files etc.
• Arranging recruitment interviews.
• Sending out welcome emails to new starters.
• Assisting with organising training including group training sessions.
• Assisting with staff surveys and organising social events.

Other duties commensurate with the role as required by CFAB.

Qualifications:

Essential:

· Be educated to A Level/AAT Level 3 or have significant relevant working experience.

· Technical knowledge of an Accounting software (Quickbooks, Approval Max).

· Sound working knowledge of window-based software packages, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, electronic mail, and the internet.

· Familiarity with Salesforce.

This position will be based from our Cardiff Office (agile working agreement in place). We are looking for a Finance Assistant with an aptitude for numeracy to support the Finance Manager and Senior Finance Assistant.  The successful candidate to this role will have some experience in Finance or a keen interest in launching their career in Finance. They should have great communication skills and be ready and willing to learn. What's on offer for the candidate is an immediately available, ongoing permanent contract. Main Purpose of Job 

To assist the Finance Manager and Senior Finance Assistant 

Main Duties 

1. To assist in the day to day running of the organisation’s Sales, Purchase and Nominal Ledger using Sage bookkeeping system. 
2. Assist in the maintenance of information of the Finances of the Organisation. 
3. Input information to track grants and funding using Access databases. 
4. Use computer programmes including Sage, MS Word, Excel and Access. 
5. To administer timesheets, expenses and annual leave applications.
6. Use a range of skills to communicate efficiently and effectively to support staff within the organisation.

Our Youth and Community team based at our North Bristol Hub in Lawrence Weston are looking for a special, talented, and adaptable Youth Worker, to help us strengthen and sustain our range of community and targeted youth programmes across Lawrence Weston, Shirehampton, Sea Mills, Henbury and Avonmouth.  You will work alongside our Lead Youth Worker to:

· design, plan, and deliver weekly open access session for young people in Lawrence Weston

· deliver high quality 1:1 service through our Bridging programme across North Bristol

· deliver innovated activities for young people in the community in line with the city-wide Youth Vision.

We are looking for individuals who have:

· Experience of working alongside other statutory and voluntary organisations.

· Able to work a minimum of two evenings per week.

· Previous experience in implementing youth programmes.

· Knowledge of safeguarding practices with young people.
