Young person's Support Worker
Our social care client is looking to recruit a young person's Support Worker to work within their supported accommodation site in Wandsworth.
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Location: Wandsworth, Closest station (Tooting Broadway)
Assignment: 3 months +
Hours: 40hrs pr week (Full-Time) (Mon-Fri 9-5 or 12-8pm) One in every 4-5 weeks- Saturday or Sunday shift. When you do a weekend, you get a day off in the week
Pay: £14.56 + holiday pay = £16.32 per hour or £19.00 per hour via a umbrella company
The role
The client group being supported is those leaving care in the Wandsworth area, who will need tenancy related support as well as advice and guidance to help them best prepare for an independent lifestyle once they move on from the service
Responsibilities
- As the young person's Support Worker, you will manage your own case load putting together support plans based on their circumstances and aims, incorporating and encouraging education, training, and employment.
- Overseeing a case load of 6 low to medium needs young people aged 16-21
- Key working clients 1-1, gaining their trust, assisting with their benefits, and helping with their budgeting/finances
- Updating needs and risks assessments of the young people and incorporating your updates into each support plan
- Writing up the weekly and monthly reports on each member of your case load to maintain an organised, structured workplace. This will ensure that a supportive, yet empowering environment is supplied
Candidate
The successful social care candidate for the role of young person's Support Worker will have:
- Experience working with young people in a similar service
- A genuine passion for working with young people
- Knowledge of ETE, benefits and independent living skills
- An enhanced child and adult checked DBS issued within the last 12 months and/or on the update service.

Responsibilities for this orle will include:
- Lead on budgeting, forecasting and the production of the monthly management accounts including commentary.
- Preparation of the annual financial statements alongside management of the audit, acting as the auditors main point of contact.
- Process quarterly VAT returns, assist with reconciliations and authorise payment runs.
- Oversee the checking of monthly staff payroll, collaborating with the outsourced payroll provider.

This role is part of a strategic period of growth across the fundraising team, and they are looking for that next corporate partnerships superstar to capture the imagination of new corporate funders and drive growth from the business community.
This role marks an incredibly exciting time to join this wonderful, expanding team. They are searching for someone with drive and ambition to generate new partners, and work alongside a fantastic corporate team who have secured some impressive partners recently, including an innovative ice-cream product tie-up, a recent Christmas appeal with the Mirror newspaper, and employee-led fundraising appeals such as Charity of The Year applications.
About the charity
When a child or young person is diagnosed with cancer, their whole world (and their family's) can feel like it's falling apart. Their anxieties are deep. Their education, mental health and social lives suffer. Their futures feel very uncertain. Young Lives vs Cancer is the only charity in the UK with specialist social workers dedicated to providing tailored psychosocial support to children and young people with cancer, and their families. Business Development Fundraiser
Salary: £32,510 p/a
Full-time but open to compressed hours or part-time
Hybrid based in London or Bristol offices, 1-2 days per-week
Benefits: 27 days leave plus Bank Holidays, Plus option to buy or sell up to 2 weeks, Wellbeing and Development day once a quarter, enhanced pension, employee assistant programme, 2 volunteering days, bike-to-work scheme.
About the role

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role within the Philanthropy and Partnerships team, showcasing your effectiveness and significantly contributing to the team's strategic goals. This position demands a hands-on approach, alongside exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage both supporters and prospects.

The role will focus on developing new and existing relationships with partners, so you will be confident making cold approaches, owning pipelines and building professional networks from scratch.
