Youthscape is an exciting, dynamic organisation, constantly undertaking new projects and developing new models and resources.
We are seeking a financial controller who is familiar with charity SORP requirements and who thrives in a fast paced organisation and is able to adapt to the ever changing needs of the organisation.
The key areas of repsonsibility within this role are:
- Managing the day to day operations of the finance function.
- Delivering Youthscape’s monthly and quarterly management accounts
- Undertaking financial Planning
- Delivering Youthscape's statutory commitments
- Assisting with grant applications and reporting
The successful candidate will ideally have a relevant accounting qualification, knowledge of FRS102 and the Charity SORP and experience within the not for profit sector. They should have 3 years+ experience of management accounting, budgeting, forecasting and the preparation of statutory accounts. They will be highly numerate with excellent analytical skills, interpersonal skills and communication skills. A passion for youth work and young people is also highly desirable.
The post is subject to the requirement that the holder be a practising Christian, under Part 1 of Schedule 9 to the Equality Act 2010. As part of the Youthscape community you will be expected to take part in weekly chapels, termly retreats and regular prayer.
This role is part time (28 hours) and offers flexible working.
