Office Admin Role

 

Background/Purpose

Your Voice in Health and Social Care (YVHSC) is an independent organisation that gives people a voice to improve and shape services and help them get the best out of health and social care provisions. YVHSC specialises in providing Health and Care services that offer effective engagement and involvement that impacts on community wellbeing and development. Using our expertise, we involve people in ways that are both efficient and inclusive, and so can maximise the impact of our engagement

Bromley Parent Engagement Service (BPES) is a new service (June 2020) commissioned by the London Borough of Bromley and NHS Bromley Clinical Commissioning Group (BCCG). The service provides active involvement of parent carers of children and young people who have special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), in the commissioning and provision of health and care services, in accordance with the Children and Families Act 2014.

 

Tasks:

  • Input surveys, volunteer hours and experiences into our database
  • Proof read and approve any reviews obtained from volunteers
  • Administrative tasks, like organising mailings and other materials for distribution
  • Design basic leaflets and posters
  • Design and complete registration and evaluation forms for upcoming focus groups and events
  • Provide information and sign posting for incoming calls
  • Check and reply to emails
  • Attend events within the community to set up stalls and promote the service

 

Time Commitment:

  • We ask for a minimum of 2 hours a week, on a set day for at least 3 months

 

Skills/Experience needed:

 

  • Aged 18 or over

 

  • Committed to our values: Inclusive / Influential / Independent / Credible / Collaborative

 

  • Confident and have an enthusiastic manner

 

  • Tactful and diplomatic and able to be sympathetic to other’s situation

 

  • Possessing observational skills coupled with a desire to raise the quality of services

 

  • Show consideration, sensitivity and respect to all, irrespective of background, culture, ethnicity, age,                         gender or presenting issues

 

  • Adhere to confidentiality rules

 

  • Dress appropriately, with a friendly approachable manner and good verbal communication and                             listening skills

 

  • Strong IT literacy and familiarity with a range of programme and soft ware

 

  • Basic Graphic Design skills
