Global Programs Project Manager (Contractor)
Overview

Job Summary
Working alongside the Global Programs Team, the Project Manager is responsible for coordinating the planning and delivery of projects from concept through to execution. The role involves managing logistics, supporting stakeholder engagement, and ensuring initiatives are delivered on time and to a high standard. The postholder will manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, with the ability to prioritise effectively, must thrive in a fast-paced environment, and apply creative problem-solving to deliver successful events. Remote working, with the ability to attend on-site meetings in Milton Keynes (MK19) ideally once a month.

Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Logistics

• Manage the planning and delivery of multiple concurrent projects, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and achievement of key milestones.
• Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of events, from initial concept, registration, and contracting through to delivery and post-event evaluation.
• Work with the Global Programs team to ensure events are delivered on time and to a high standard.
• Accountable for overseeing end-to-end project delivery, coordinating across a wider team with defined responsibilities to ensure successful delivery within the project workstream.
• Build and manage strong stakeholder relationships, providing professional, timely support and acting as a key point of contact.
• Ensure data integrity on the information we hold.
• Provider effective reporting as needed.
• Manage and optimise delegate registration and booking systems, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and a seamless participant experience.
• Manage the logistical event delivery (remote or in-person), including setup, logistics, and real-time issue resolution, ensuring a high-quality delegate experience throughout the event.
• Coordinate complex scheduling, calendars, and travel arrangements.
• Any other task in relation to the charity’s needs.

Communication & Content

• Coordinate pre-event production, collaborating with external designers and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of all assets and documentation.
• Manage cross-functional coordination for event delivery, ensuring effective communication across stakeholders, including localisation and translation requirements for regional relevance.
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely updates of all event-related content across online platforms.
• Provide administrative and practical support to event personnel in global locations as they deliver our programs.
• Follow established brand guidelines to maintain consistency in tone, messaging, and visual identity across all content.

Research, Reporting & Finance

• Ensure relevant reporting and documentation are supplied to stakeholders.
• Manage expense processing and support budget oversight, ensuring accurate tracking, forecasting, and alignment with programme objectives in collaboration with senior leadership.

Cultural Adaptation & Coordination

• Contribute to the development of our programs globally, from ideation through to delivery.
• Assist with the localisation of content to ensure materials are culturally appropriate,supporting communication with translators and stakeholders to help adapt resourcesfor different cultural contexts.

Occupational Requirement
The candidate must have an active Christian faith. By virtue of the job’s involvement in faith-sensitive work under Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010, the post-holder must be an active Christian with a genuine personal faith in Jesus, grounded in Scripture and reflected in their everyday life.

Experience (Essential)

• Have experience in a church/charity or professional environment.
• Strong understanding of and commitment to the Foundation’s mission with an understanding of the Church scene.
• A genuine passion for advancing the gospel through the global Church, with a commitment to supporting both Christian givers and churches and charities.
• Managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, with the ability to prioritise effectively, owning and delivering end to end events from planning through to execution and evaluation.
• Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and work effectively across cross-functional teams.
• Proven track record of managing and controlling project or event budgets including forecasting and cost management.
• Negotiating and managing external suppliers and partners.
• Working across different regions, cultures, or time zones demonstrating cultural awareness and adaptability.
• Professional in appearance with a proactive approach and a desire to constantly improve and grow.
• Willingness to be flexible in working hours with occasional travel and overnight stays.
• Knowledge of standard office administrative practices and procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experience (Desirable but not required)

• Experience delivering a programme of learning (content and structure).
• Understanding of generous giving and experience of working with donors.
• Knowledge of copywriting for different platforms (e.g. digital, presentations, printed materials).
• Additional language skills.
• Working knowledge of Asana, Beacon, Canva, Mailchimp and Survey/ticketing Apps.

Contract Terms
Working hours and hourly rate will be agreed in advance.

Global Programs Events and Project Coordinator

Job Overall goal: Support the delivery of global events and the creation of a range of content, ensuring both align with the charity’s objectives, including activities designed for a global audience.

Job Location: Remote working, with the ability to attend on-site meetings in Milton Keynes (MK19) ideally once a month.

Hours: This is a full-time position (37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday) offered on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Job summary
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive individual to join our team. This role focuses on supporting the administration and delivery of events, ensuring smooth coordination, logistics, and a high-quality participant experience. It also includes stakeholder management, maintaining clear communication and strong relationships with attendees, partners, and internal teams. In addition, the role contributes to content development (both print and digital), and supports the contextualisation and translation of resources for global audiences.

Key Responsibilities:
Event Planning and Support

• Assist in the planning, coordination, and delivery of event logistics.
• Liaise with stakeholders, including vendors, venues, and service providers, to ensure high-quality event delivery.
• Manage delegate booking systems, taking ownership for providing prompt and professional support to attendees and stakeholders via phone, messaging and email, and delivering excellent delegate care throughout events.
• Maintain and regularly update registration systems and databases, ensuring high levels of accuracy and data integrity.
• Provide on-site event support, including set-up and liaising with AV and logistics teams to ensure smooth execution.
• Support campaign and project planning, including tracking content-related budgets for approval.
• Maintain and update event timelines and the global content calendar, ensuring progress is accurately reflected.
• Assist in the planning and delivery of special event elements (e.g. consultancy clinics).
• Monitor and track project costs, ensuring value for money.
• Process and input event-related receipts and expenses, supporting accurate and timely monthly accounting.
• Use initiative to flag any risks to project delivery, supporting timely resolution.
• Support wider projects across programmes and charity operations as required.

Communication & Content Delivery

• Assist in the creation of event materials, including digital resources, workbooks, email campaigns, websites, and related content.
• Provide administrative and practical support to event personnel in global locations as they deliver our programs.
• Assist in repurposing content into multiple formats to support wider reach and usability.
• Support the preparation and distribution of monthly comms emails.
• Assist with proofreading and formatting event content.
• Support the development and maintenance of an online training portal for specific programs.
• Follow established brand guidelines to maintain consistency in tone, messaging, and visual identity across all content.

Cultural Adaptation & Coordination

• Assist with the localisation of content to ensure materials are culturally appropriate, assisting communication with translators and stakeholders to help adapt resources for different cultural contexts.

Evaluation & Reporting

• Assist in tracking the performance of content and programs through data collection, feedback, and engagement analytics to support evaluation of effectiveness.
• Support the preparation of content and project reports, including metrics and evidence required for various audiences.

• Actively contribute to team meetings, planning sessions, and creative brainstorming.
• Occasional evening and weekend work and travel may be required for event support.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience (Essential). We welcome applications from graduates who are eager to learn and develop in the role.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with content creation software, CRM systems, and email marketing software (Desirable).

Church Army is entering a new chapter - with fresh leadership, a developing strategy and a real opportunity for someone to help shape how fundraising and engagement looks going forward. The beauty of this reimagined role is that it's both strategic and hands-on, with chance to learn and develop, potentially adding new strings to your fundraising bow.

The role holds responsibility for individual giving, legacies and trusts fundraising, but we don't expect you to come with it all. You'll be given the time, space and tools to develop any skills and experience you don't currently have.

What we definitely need is someone with a strong foundation in Individual Giving - that means the ability to lead on campaigns and product development, as well as confidently manage pipeline planning.

You'll take creative control and responsibility for delivering effective multi-channel fundraising appeals, including key moments in the campaign calendar, such as the Christmas appeal. Using insight, storytelling and data to deepen relationships and grow income, you'll develop meaningful supporter journeys that recruit, retain and inspire generosity. Working closely with colleagues across communications, operations and programmes, you'll help strengthen collaboration across teams, ensuring day-to-day activity and processes support the shared goal of bringing Church Army's mission to life.

You'll also line manage the Individual Giving Officer, providing guidance and support, as well as supervising and supporting the Trusts Consultant and Legacy Consultant. This could be a perfect development opportunity for someone looking to build or grow their leadership experience.
 

About you
 

• You're already an experienced Individual Giving fundraiser with a passion and talent for exceptional storytelling, able to write compelling copy that inspires people to take action.
• You can demonstrate previous experience managing campaigns or projects end-to-end and feel confident working with data and insight to optimise results.
• You either already see yourself as a leader or have ambition to be one, with the potential and capability to lead by example and provide guidance and mentorships to others.

We really want to emphasise that you don't need to tick all the boxes to be considered, but you do need to be motivated to broaden your skillset and experience, with natural curiosity and a solutions-focused way of being.

Alignment with Church Army's Christian mission and feeling comfortable working in a faith-based environment where prayer and shared values are part of daily life is important. This role has an occupational requirement for the postholder to be a practising Christian.
