ABOUT THE ROLE 

Team: Delivery/ Delivery Coordination Office 

As the Resource Planning Manager, you are responsible for understanding how work is carried out across the Trust. This includes looking at activities, processes, projects and programmes to make sure the right people and resources are available when needed. 

Your main focus at the start will be on the Delivery directorate. In this area, you will design a clear and practical resource management approach that helps managers plan and use resources more effectively. 

You will also work with teams across the whole Trust. Your role is to make sure each team receives the support and resources they need in a timely and efficient way, so that work can be completed smoothly and without unnecessary delays. 

What You’ll Be Doing 

• Develop clear and practical processes and procedures that support teams in sharing resources effectively. This means making sure people, skills and tools can be used across different programmes and teams in a coordinated and efficient way, helping to avoid gaps or duplication. 

• Lead on embedding the Access Resource Planner across the Walk Wheel Cycle Trust. You will act as the main point of contact for the system and support others in using it effectively, helping to ensure it becomes a trusted and widely used tool. 

• Designing simple and effective processes that reduce waste, improve efficiency, and minimise delays caused by resources not being used well. This will help projects run more smoothly and avoid common challenges that slow progress. 

• Track and report on how resources are used. By looking at past decisions and identifying patterns or trends, you will support better planning and forecasting for future projects. 

• Design and put into place a clear resource management framework. This framework will guide how resources are planned, allocated and reviewed, helping teams work in a more coordinated and consistent way across the Trust.

The Role

About the Role   

As our Financial Controller, you'll lead the day-to-day financial operations of the charity, ensuring robust financial controls, accurate reporting and efficient processes that support our mission. You'll oversee month-end reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis, providing clear insights to inform decision-making across the organisation. Exercise and Socialise is a programme of weekly exercise sessions specially designed for different needs, abilities and interests, but all aimed at the frail and unconfident.

For the financial year 2026/27 we have funding to provide 30 classes across the 5 neighbourhoods in Lambeth, maximising coverage and giving space to local needs.

The primary focus is on improving physical health and confidence and getting people active again and increasing their resilience. But it also has secondary aims of decreasing isolation and improving people's mental health.

Specific Duties

1. To assess referrals that come in and assess their eligibility. Help them choose a suitable class based on their ability.
2. Responsible for sourcing accessible venues.
3. Setting up the groups and engaging paid instructors.
4. To provide regular monitoring and impact reports for our funders, using both qualitative and quantitative data to demonstrate how the support has benefited participants.
5. To regularly monitor the KPIs and outcomes set by funders, ensuring the project remains on track to achieve targets and identifying any areas requiring additional support or improvement.
6. To deliver a diverse mix of exercise groups, including chair yoga, seated aerobics, Tai Chi, and seated jive. Offer low-impact sports like table tennis and weight training, and introduce targeted activities specifically designed to overcome the challenge of engaging older men.
7. To promote the groups at meetings and support our comms team to promote the service.
8. To create referral pathways for health professionals, Social Prescribers Link Workers, Neighbourhood Wellbeing Workers, etc.

General Duties

1. Work closely with the Head of Commercial Services and Volunteering.
2. Develop and maintain links with Public Health and the Community Rehab and Falls team.
3. To recruit tutors/instructors who have adequate qualifications and insurance.

You will play a central role in supporting people who are blind, partially sighted, Deaf, hard of hearing and deafblind to access assistive equipment and technology that maintains independence and improves quality of life.

The role includes leading the day-to-day running of the Resource Centre, ensuring a high-quality, person-centred service, and working collaboratively across the organisation. There is also scope to shape and grow the service, including developing new income opportunities and resources.  You will be line managing a small team of staff and volunteers.

As a key member of the Trusts & Grants team, The Trusts & Grants Fundraiser will work closely with the Trusts & Grants Manager to raise funds from a portfolio of charitable trusts in accordance with Child Bereavement UK’s budgets and targets.

Initiative, creativity, excellent organization and writing skills are required, together with the ability to develop persuasive proposals and nurture effective relationships with key stakeholders across Child Bereavement UK and externally.

This role comes at a particularly important time for CBUK when the charity is looking to evolve and grow services, diversify into new areas, and raise significant funds for ongoing work. The Trusts & Grants Team are a vital part of the charity’s expansion into new areas, and the post-holder will have the opportunity to work with frontline staff to develop new projects and bids.

Main Responsibilities

Leadership

• Create timely and compelling bespoke proposals and applications to charitable and corporate trusts, Lotteries and Government bodies.
• Develop and deliver to donor care plans to provide excellent supporter care to trust funders; aim to involve supporters in the achievement of the Child Bereavement UK mission and maximise the value and longevity of their support – providing accurate and informative reports and invitations to project visits and events where appropriate.

The Data Manager is responsible for overseeing the collection, management, quality, security, governance and use of data at Now Teach. They are responsible for ensuring that Now Teach’s data is accurate, integrated between systems, well managed, accessible to support operational reporting, analysis, continuous improvement and strategic decision making.

This is a key role in ensuring we can identify, articulate and measure the impact of our work both internally, and with partners, senior stakeholders and funders as well as supporting our aims of operational efficiency and self-service. The role will continue to develop our data capability as an organisation to evaluate our impact and continually improve our processes.

The Data Manager will be adept at working with multiple stakeholders and helping navigate and simplify processes. They know how to pull information from our reporting systems alongside or combined with other data sources, including national benchmarks, to identify trends and patterns and provide that data to teams in a way that supports great decision making and improvement. They will have a passion for data engineering being hands on as well as being able to identify and implement improvements to drive our data forward.

Data quality & governance 

• Oversee Now Teach’s data systems, fundraising and monitoring and evaluation processes ensuring they are set up for reliable data capture and reporting 

• Work closely with our data system product owners to ensure systems are set up and used to protect confidentiality, integrity and accessibility of data

As Head of Relationship Fundraising, you will:

• Lead delivery of Duchenne UK’s relationship fundraising strategy, driving sustainable income growth across multiple income streams

ABOUT THE ROLE 

Role overview 

The Head of MAT and School Partnerships will build and lead a high-impact portfolio of strategic MAT partnerships that improve recruitment, retention and long-term success for career change teachers while strengthening outcomes for schools and pupils. 

This is a pivotal leadership role at the heart of Now Teach’s next phase of growth and impact. The postholder will play a central role in shaping how we work with MATs nationally and how career change teachers are recruited, supported and retained within schools serving disadvantaged communities.

You will also work closely with the Director of Network and Head of Impact to develop a school engagement, impact and advocacy strategy across the 500 schools where our 1,000-strong Now Teacher Network currently teach.

In this role you will……   

Lead the design, delivery and evolution of Now Teach’s MAT partnership strategy aimed at ensuring Now Teacher impact in schools. You will support teams to deliver on their agreed recruitment targets and network offer commitments , establishing and growing a portfolio of deeply engaged partners who get it right for their career change teachers.

You will create and maintain strategic relationships, act as a sector expert for growth opportunities, influence and negotiate at senior levels and demonstrate excellent communication skills. Strong judgement and relentless customer focus will be essential as you build customer loyalty and enhance MAT and school advocacy and ultimately, our impact. 

Key responsibilities 

Strategic Leadership  

• Lead the further development,  execution and continuous improvement of the charity’s MAT and School strategy

 Business Development & External Influence 

• Secure partnership income targets, negotiate partnership contributions, and drive commercial sustainability, working closely with COO/Finance Manager on ongoing cost models.

Role overview 

Now Teach is looking for our first Head of Impact as we embark on an exciting new organisational strategy to understand, articulate and maximise our impact. In this pivotal role, you will lead the ongoing development of Now Teach’s monitoring, evaluation and learning, ensuring we are able to clearly evidence our impact, evaluate and strengthen our approaches, drive continuous improvement and strengthen the case for career changers in teaching. 

We have identified four key areas of impact delivered by our network of Now Teachers and are now in the process of defining overarching organisational impact metrics and building our measurement systems. You will take on this role at a key point in our impact journey, embedding our strategic impact framework and strengthening our internal impact capabilities.  

You will refine and evolve our impact approach to drive continuous improvement across the charity and inform future programme design. Working closely with teams across the organisation, you will help embed a strong culture of learning, reflection and evidence‑led decision‑making. 

This role is a key member of the Now Teach leadership team and plays an integral part in evaluating progress against our strategy, sharing insight and learning with trustees, funders and other stakeholders. 

This is a strategic, hands‑on role, working in partnership with Recruitment, Network, Communications, Philanthropy and wider teams. You will also work closely with the Data Manager to ensure the collection, management and use of high‑quality data that underpins credible and compelling impact evidence.

Impact strategy & measurement

RESPONSIBILITIES:

New Business

· Support the development of a new business pipeline by researching, approaching and engaging prospective corporate partners across a range of sectors

· Contribute to securing income through corporate sponsorships and donations, supporting Back Up’s services and special events

· Work closely with the Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager to develop and tailor partnership propositions and offers

· Support the identification and securing of corporate sponsorship for Back Up special events

· Assist in securing gift in kind and pro bono support to help deliver the charity’s work

· Support the onboarding of new partners, including completing due diligence in line with Back Up’s ethical fundraising policy and assisting with partnership agreements and stewardship plans

Account Management

· Deliver high-quality relationship and account management for Legal Panel members and sponsors, supporting agreed engagement and stewardship plans

· Promote opportunities for partners and sponsors to increase their involvement and impact, including volunteering, fundraising, events, donations and grants

· Support delivery of Legal Panel and Sponsorship agreements, including coordinating meetings, attending events and ensuring strong partner visibility

Essential:

• Some experience in fundraising, partnerships, business development, sales, customer relationship or supporter engagement (paid or voluntary) or transferrable skills

Lead a national charity at a pivotal moment of change and make a life‑changing impact for individuals and families affected by rare craniofacial conditions. 

Headlines Craniofacial Support is a UK-based charity providing information, advice and support to individuals and families affected by craniosynostosis and other rare craniofacial conditions.  The charity works closely with professional partners, including the 5 NHS Designated Specialist Craniofacial Units across the UK.

Craniosynostosis is a condition where two or more of the plates in the skull fuse prematurely, requiring medical support from a young age. Around 350 children are born with craniosynostosis each year in the UK.

Established by group of parents in 1993, Headlines now has over 2,500 members.  Within our charity offer we send out regular newsletters and an annual magazine, Headline News.  We also support families to connect through events such as an annual Family Weekend, conferences and Days Out, and provide information through our helpline and access to psychological support.  We have private social media groups and specific groups within our membership who meet regularly including Cranio Dads, Young Persons Network and a Teens Group.

After 8 successful years, our current Director will be retiring in 2026 and we are now seeking an enthusiastic, inspirational and proactive individual to take up the reins.This is a rare opportunity to lead a well-established, respected national charity at an important moment of transition.

Strategic priorities for us, moving forward, include increasing our fundraising activities to ensure sustainability of the charity alongside the smooth running of our core activities in providing support, facilitating research and raising awareness.

Key responsibilities

The Executive Director will hold day-to-day responsibilities, working closely with the Chair and Trustee Board to provide effective leadership and operational management of the charity. Specifically, they will:

• Act as an ambassador for the charity, liaising with members, health professionals and with wider community and provide day-to-day management of Headlines staff and activities, setting objectives in line with the operational plan.
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding, data protection and other legal, statutory and regulatory requirements and responsibilities.
• Work on behalf of and with the Trustees to deliver the charity’s mission, goals, operational plans and long-term strategy,  and act as a positive leader and role model, managing and motivating Headlines staff,
• Ensure effective financial management of Headlines working closely with trustees and the treasurer to ensure financial security and appropriate allocation of funds.
• Manage and enhance the event programme to meet charity objectives, including identifying and meeting members’ priorities and raising awareness of craniofacial conditions.
• Develop opportunities for collaborative working and partnerships with other organisations for the benefit of people with craniosynostosis and rare craniofacial conditions.  This also includes work overseas, predominantly in Europe with our medical and charity partners.
• Oversee communications and marketing activities to raise the profile of Headlines, its work and the needs of its members.
• Identify opportunities for growth, developing projects and keeping policies relevant, to enhance and expand the work of Headlines.
• Be responsible for generating funds through innovative and cost-effective fundraising activities and grant applications to maintain the long-term success of the charity.

Person specification 

Essential criteria

• An understanding of the importance of the charity’s values and priorities.
• Evidence of inclusive, innovative and proactive leadership, with demonstrable experience of fundraising and income generation.
• Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills with experience organising events and activities.
• Experience of successfully managing budgets and developing new and sustainable funding streams.
• Excellent organisational, presentation and communication skills and the ability to write reports for public consumption and for statutory obligations.
• A high level of digital literacy skills with an understanding of online technology and the application of social media.
• Proven track record in managing, leading and motivating staff and volunteers.
• Willingness to operate a hybrid model of working with most work taking place from home, working remotely with stakeholders and across the UK/ internationally for specific events.
• Experience of working within the charity sector, ideally at a management level and/or within  financial management of the charitable sector, with sound knowledge of the relevant legal requirements and regulations applicable to a charitable organisation.

Other information

Headlines hosts events and fundraising activities throughout the whole of the UK. All Headlines staff are expected to work flexibly to support those activities as required, e.g. attendance at Annual Family Weekend, conferences, member events, supporter receptions and other related scientific meetings and conferences. This may occasionally require travel and overnight stays. In addition, all staff are expected to be self-servicing in terms of administration and basic digital skills.
