Role purpose
Southampton Hospitals Charity is looking for an organised and motivated Supporter Care Assistant to join our team. We are committed to excellent stewardship, so every supporter feels valued and confident that their gift is making a difference.
As the first point of contact for many of our donors, you will play an important part in delivering a consistently high standard of customer service.
In this role, you will look after our supporter care inbox, responding to a wide range of enquiries, from questions about donations to more sensitive concerns, with empathy, care and efficiency. You will also help to process incoming post, making sure donors receive the right thanks and acknowledgement for their support.
Working across our different income streams, you will help us deliver thoughtful, well-planned stewardship. You will use our CRM, to keep records accurate, up to date and compliant, ensuring preferences are recorded and that every supporter is looked after appropriately.
You will bring strong attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and experience of providing excellent customer support. If you are passionate about fundraising and the impact a charity can make, we would love to hear from you. This role is an important part of delivering our ambitious strategy to grow our income, reach and impact.

Main Responsibilities

Supporter care and administration

• Manage the supporter care inbox, responding to enquiries, feedback and complaints in a timely, professional and compassionate way.
• Process donations and supporter information accurately, following agreed procedures and ensuring acknowledgements are issued promptly.
• Maintain high-quality supporter records on the CRM, capturing key details and preferences and ensuring data is accurate and up to date.
• Support stewardship activity by preparing and sending thank-you communications and helping to deliver supporter journeys across in memory and legacy income streams.
• Process and thank donations received via post, sign posting to colleagues using our CRM when appropriate.
• Lead on the processing and thanking of campaign income as a result of our fundraising appeals and campaigns.
• Work closely with colleagues to resolve queries and continuously improve the supporter experience, identifying themes and suggesting practical improvements.

Supporter communications and relationship building

• Provide friendly, clear and consistent communication with supporters by email, telephone and post.
• Handle sensitive conversations with care, including bereavement-related enquiries and in-memory giving, signposting to colleagues where needed.
• Supporting the IMO and Legacy Manager to identify and fulfil key touch points in the supporters’ journey to enable donations and assist in providing communications as the need arises.

Teamwork and collaboration

• Work closely with colleagues across the charity to share information, resolve queries and ensure supporters receive a joined-up experience.
• Contribute to a positive, supportive team culture by being approachable, dependable and willing to help where needed.

Supporter care compliance

• Support the accurate input and maintenance of supporter data, ensuring records are updated promptly and consistently.
• Follow data protection and fundraising compliance requirements, including recording consent and communication preferences.

Person Specification

Knowledge and experience

• Experience in a customer service or supporter care role, responding to a range of enquiries with professionalism and empathy.

The Community Fundraiser (Donor Relationship) plays a vital role in delivering an exceptional supporter experience for all community and event fundraisers. This role focuses on building strong, meaningful, and long‑lasting relationships with individuals, groups, and volunteers who raise funds, ensuring they feel valued, supported, and inspired to continue their journey with the charity. Key Responsibilities will include:

Supporter Journeys & Stewardship

• Create tailored donor journeys for all community and event supporters,
  ensuring timely touchpoints, personalised engagement, and clear pathways for

• Develop and implement a reward and recognition process that celebrates
  supporter milestones, achievements, and loyalty, using insight‑driven methods
  to nurture long-term commitment.

• Lead and develop a new thanking process for community and event supporters,

  content, supporter spotlights, and updates aligned with community fundraising
  priorities

Events & Recognition:

• Lead on the planning and delivery of the annual community awards event,
  celebrating supporter achievements and strengthening the charity’s
  relationship with grassroots fundraisers.

• Ensure the event reflects supporter diversity, contribution levels, and the
  organisation’s values.

Data & Insights:

• Maintain accurate, timely and GDPR‑compliant supporter records to ensure

We are seeking a Relationship Fundraiser.  This is an exciting and varied role incorporating developing corporate partnerships, supporting volunteer fundraisers, organising fundraising events, and building relationships with community groups.

FORCE Cancer Charity is seeking a Community Fundraiser to join our Income Generation team. This is a rewarding role,  focused on building relationships with supporters, growing fundraising income and raising awareness of FORCE and our work across Exeter and the wider Devon community.

The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and strengthening relationships with new and existing supporters, ensuring individuals, community groups, schools and local businesses receive an exceptional level of support and engagement. The Role
Position: Community Fundraiser
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (part-time or compressed hours can be considered)
Location: Homebased covering West Sussex, Hampshire, Surrey, East Sussex and Kent
Travel: To support with events and volunteers, this role requires regular travel. 

You'll raise awareness of Canine Partners in the South of England and maximise income from diverse community sources. A proactive approach is key to showcasing our work and charitable goals.

What You'll Be Doing

• Focus on both stewarding existing relationships and cultivating new ones, ensuring an exceptional donor experience throughout
• Act as the entry point for long term supporters and be responsible for the visible presence in the community
• Meet income targets across the year through individuals, clubs and associations, volunteers, events and challenge events
• Contribute to the wider national Community Fundraising direction

About You

• Proven experience of effectively managing relationships with volunteers, supporters, and/or external stakeholders/audiences
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and public speaking skills with the ability to engage and inspire a wide range of audiences
• Demonstrable experience in community fundraising and/or events management
• Ability to manage a varied workload and take initiative to prioritise
• Proven record of securing, growing or maintaining income, funding, contracts, partnerships or comparable resources 
• Fundraising experience could be beneficial but not essential
• Physical ability to lift bulky and heavy equipment, to stand for long periods and to travel as required for the role

What you’ll be doing:

• You’ll be joining a friendly, vibrant and high-performing fundraising team. You will play a central role in ensuring that supporting the Trust is a positive, fulfilling and impactful experience for our members, donors and supporters.
• Your skills, experience and creativity will help the Trust to drive income and supporter acquisition through effective appeals, mailings, storytelling and campaigns, tailored donor journeys and supporter engagement.
• Working closely with colleagues in the Marketing & Communications team and across our fundraising functions, you will help to develop targeted communications and journeys for a wide range of supporters and be a champion of first-class supporter care across the organisation.

About you:

• You’ll be an excellent copywriter with a passion for inspiring and engaging new and existing supporters. We’re looking for somebody to champion a first-class supporter experience across the Trust, with strong technical writing skills, a results focus and the ability to bring our work to life through storytelling.

You will lead on cultivating, soliciting and stewarding a portfolio of prospects and donors, developing tailored engagement plans and ensuring our fundraising activity is insight-driven and aligned with organisational priorities.

By building strong relationships with donors, volunteers and supporters and by championing the effective use of data and insight, you will help deepen engagement with JUSTICE’s work and increase the impact of our fundraising. You will be a key ambassador for the organisation, representing our mission and values with confidence, professionalism and warmth.
