Right now, we are looking for a Peer Support Worker to join the team in Surrey. 

The Wingfield Resource Centre currently provides support for individuals experiencing mental health crisis or who require preventative support. We operate 365 days a year from 6pm to 11pm. Our Peer Support service will offer both intensive and low key peer support services. You will support people who are going through a difficult time, by sharing your experiences, helping them discover the strengths and developing skills that will lead to wellness. But it's only possible with the help of people like you. 

Day-to-day, you’ll work with the support staff, mental health nurses and the people who use our services to develop an inclusive and effective peer support service, offering individual and group support. You will help to contribute to the development of organisational policies, procedures, protocols, systems and guidance to underpin the provision of peer support across the service. Identifying and undertaking training programmes, promoting the service to stakeholders and operating within a fully compliant service to agreed budgets – all are part and parcel of this challenging role.

To succeed, you’ll need a good understanding of the recovery and personalisation agenda and the principles and practice on which mental health services are run. You must be able to liaise and work collaboratively with a team of colleagues. You will be well-organised and self-motivated; good problem-solving and decision-making skills are essential, as is an innate ability to cope with personal stress.

Founded in 1960, The British Society for Haematology is a registered charity and professional membership body.  The object of the Society is to advance the practice and study of haematology and to facilitate contact between persons interested in haematology.  The Society has some 1,700 members consisting of doctors, scientists and nurses specialising in the field of haematology.  The Society has the British Journal of Haematology as its official journal and offers a range of grants and scholarships for research.

Role Purpose

This role will be split between the Guidelines and Education teams. 

The main role of the BSH Guidelines is to provide haematologists with up-to-date advice on the diagnosis and treatment of haematological disease and also on laboratory haematology practice, primarily by the production of evidence-based guidelines.

The overall purpose is to provide educational training to haematologists. Our activities include running up to 10 events and courses per year including our flagship Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) held in April. There are two committees that govern the outcomes of these events.

The Role

The role is to organise and liaise with the relevant personnel and stakeholders to ensure the smooth running of BSH Guidelines and Education. 

The post-holder is expected to work autonomously most of the time although the Senior Education Officer, Senior Guidelines Officer and Chairs of the relevant committees as well as the Guidelines Programme Manager will provide direction and advice as required. 

The post-holder needs to comfortable requesting information from senior medical staff and chasing them if it is not forthcoming. 

 
Essential Skills and Experience: 

• Strong project management and administration experience. 
• An excellent level of IT and AV literacy including standard MS Office applications, analytical and data visualisation software, SharePoint, doodle-polls and video/audio/image editing.
• Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise work and work to deadlines. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse range of people at all levels

CPRE’s Volunteering Development Officer provides excellent advice on best practice in volunteer engagement so we ensure people from all walks of life can volunteer with us.  You’ll work with the network of 40 county-based charities and with our national CPRE to expand how we campaign for the countryside through volunteering. 

You’ll be working part-time (three days a week) in our Volunteering & Participation team, with the Volunteering and Participation Manager and Volunteering Development Assistant. You’ll also work closely with our Director of Communities and Participation and the Network Engagement team, who are part of the wider Communities and Participation Directorate.

This varied role helps to deliver CPRE’s volunteering strategy, to find a way in for everyone to care for the countryside. You’ll be supporting volunteer coordinators, trustees and others to identify priority volunteer vacancies and assist in driving the recruitment of a diverse range of new volunteers.

You’ll encourage peer to peer networking with Volunteer Coordinators, welcoming new volunteer coordinators into the group and hosting network meetings. Working closely with the Volunteering Development Assistant you’ll be key to the delivery of both our national online volunteer induction programme and our national volunteer awards programme. These initiatives aim to give volunteers a warm welcome to the charity, and recognise and celebrate volunteer achievement.

You’ll receive training to use our volunteer management system Assemble and you’ll support others to make the best use of the system. You’ll be adept at collaborative working, and you’ll be supportive of increasing the diversity of people who volunteer for CPRE.  You’ll also have the opportunity to work with the team to deliver training, and you’ll be able to develop interesting, impactful new volunteering roles with national and local teams.

About the role

• In liaison with Programme Coordinator, distribute send documents to Partners.

We are delighted to be working in partnership with a charity that changes the lives of hundreds of young people just like Isaac and David every single year. In 2021-22 Safe and Sound Homes (SASH) helped a total of 210 young people avoid homelessness and arranged 13,029 nights of accommodation. SASH isn’t just about the stats though, it’s about changing the lives of these young people and the charity’s aim is to make a lasting difference to each individual, so they will never have to experience homelessness again.

There has never been a more exciting time to join this charity, as they embark on the next transformational phase of their journey to help more young people with their complexities as they face homelessness. We are looking for a Trust Fundraiser to join them on this journey… could this be you?

The Role

As Trust Fundraiser you will play an integral part in the collaborative fundraising team and be responsible for a range of duties including:

• Managing the existing portfolio of Trusts and Foundations and for stewarding these relationships.

• Identifying and building relationships with new prospects who have the capacity to support at five/six figure level.

• Developing and managing the delivery of an annual pipeline for the trusts fundraising programme, and contributing to the     fundraising strategy in this area.

• Effectively reporting on grant expenditure and project outcomes.

The Person 

To be considered for this role you should come to us with knowledge and experience of trust fundraising and ideally have a proven track record in securing funding. You should be a strong and confident communicator able to form relationships and maintain relationships with partners and supporters. You must be passionate about the work of this incredible charity and be committed to SASH’s values and the behaviours that underpin these. We would be keen to speak with people already working in Trust Fundraising, as well as people who have a good knowledge and understanding of this area, and are keen to embark on an exciting and rewarding career.

Women and Girls Network (WGN) was established in 1987 and has spent over 30 years supporting women and girls across London affected by gendered violence.

This includes childhood sexual abuse, domestic violence, rape, prostitution (including trafficking and sexual exploitation), female genital mutilation (FGM), and so-called 'honour' based crimes such as forced marriage.

Our free, women-only and survivor-led service offers a holistic response to women and girls who have experienced, or are at risk of, gendered violence.

The position of Executive Assistant & Clerk to Trustees will directly support the two CEO’s (Clinical & Development), Director of Finance & Resources and Director Services; they will also act as Clerk to the Board of Trustees

We are seeking an outstanding administrative professional, who has directly supported CEO and Director level professionals previously in non-profit sector role. You will be highly organised, with a meticulous attention to detail and able to hold confidentiality to the highest standard. The ideal candidate will be friendly, proactive and bring a positive energy to work.

About the role

This role is part of our London Borough of Hounslow team, reporting to the Local Services Manager, working alongside an experienced team of Dementia Advisers and supported by Volunteers. Volunteer role management is a key responsibility.

You will co-ordinate, organise and facilitate the successful and safe provision of our services that are delivered in a group setting, including Singing for the Brain, Dementia Cafés and Peer Support Groups, across the Borough.  

Our service delivery is both virtual and face to face, with a strong emphasis on community outreach and engagement. We particularly welcome applications from people who are representative of the communities we serve.

This is a home-based role, with frequent travel to community venues within the Borough. Expenses are paid for travel.  

About you

This is a very rewarding front-line role that makes a real difference to the lives of people living with dementia. You will be working across a large and diverse community and will have the ability to communicate well with a wide variety of people and adapt to different settings.

- We are looking for someone with strong communication skills who will help us to expand our reach and hold relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- You will need to demonstrate an understanding of dementia and the impact that it has on people’s lives. You will have the confidence to work independently, facilitating groups of people in community settings and managing volunteers. 
- Experience of supporting similar groups, leading and co-ordinating person-centred engagement and activities, is highly desirable. The ability to travel independently within the Borough is essential.
