Recruitment during COVID-19 restrictions

During the COVID-19 restrictions, our interviews will be by video call.

Additionally, the successful applicant will be fully supported to work from home for the initial period where restrictions on non-essential travel are in place.

About us
Crisis is the national charity for homeless people. We know that homelessness is not inevitable. We know that together we can end it.
Crisis is expanding its enterprise team looking at new ways to collaborate with start-ups and become more entrepreneurial ourselves. We already operate nine charity shops, two training cafes and a furniture restoration business. We even have a grants programme to enable people experiencing homeless to leap into self-employment. And we know there is more we can do to use entrepreneurship to end homelessness.

About the role
This is an exciting new position in our ambitious and expanding enterprise team that is committed to finding more innovative and entrepreneurial ways to end homelessness.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing, growing and engaging Crisis’ entrepreneurial community of staff, members and external supporters in our mission to demonstrate how entrepreneurship can end homelessness. You will manage and implement a programme of activities and events in line with the Entrepreneurship strategy. You will also manage the internal and external communication channels.

About you
To be successful in this role you will be driven by our values (inspiration, integrity, dignity, fearlessness through independence, adaptability, resolve to end homelessness). You will have experience in developing entrepreneurial communities online and offline. You will be experienced in organising and promoting events locally and nationally. And you can confidently use Twitter and Instagram and other channels. You will be seeking an exciting new challenge, working in a fast paced and agile team and you will be willing to support new initiatives from across the organisation.
