Job description

S V 2 is looking for a Crisis Worker.

S V 2 is a Charity working in partnership with Derbyshire Constabulary, NHS England and Derbyshire County Council to provide support for victims of rape and serious sexual assault at Millfield House, a Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) based in the middle of the County.

We are looking for a highly motivated Crisis Worker to be part of an on-call rota team providing Crisis Worker cover in the evening (5pm-8am) and at weekends, including bank holidays (8am-5pm & 5pm-8am).

The Crisis Worker role is to provide crisis management support to clients attending the Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) for a forensic medical examination.

This is a part-time position covering approximately 6 shifts a month, however double shifts are available.

Called out hours are paid at the rate of £11.23 per hour (time and half for evening and weekend and double time for bank holiday work).

The Crisis Worker will also be paid 2 hours per month for home administration (£22.46) and £82.14 per month in recognition of your on-call time.

The Crisis Worker will cover the Advice Line whilst on call. Advice Line calls will be paid at the appropriate pro rata hourly rate for each 15 minutes or part thereof.

  • To be no further than 40 minutes from Millfield House (DE55) when on call
  • At least two years’ experience of working with trauma
  • Flexible way of working
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times in all aspects of the work.
  • To be a team player, excellent communicator and flexible in approach, attitude and work.
  • Driving licence and access to a car with business insurance

It will be necessary for you to apply for a Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure and be subject to Police Vetting as a requirement for this position.
