Job description

MSN Fund is looking for a self-starter with excellent organisational skills. This new role of Grants Administrator is a key position researching, advising colleagues and administering funds to improve the lives of marginalised people in UK.

MSN Fund is a small grant-maker with a mission to support migrants, refugees and marginalised communities, primarily through arts and education, health and wellbeing, human rights and peace projects. We commit around £200,000 per year to projects that show potential to improve lives and experiences.

To be our Grants Administrator you’ll need to be methodical in your research and record keeping but also a creative enabler. You’ll be as comfortable liaising with grassroots organisations as you are with the MSN Board members, as you help us gain an accurate picture of the kinds of projects which might benefit from grant funding. Naturally, you’ll be confident using databases (Excel), preparing reports and board papers, and organising meetings to ensure our processes run smoothly.

Our ideal candidate is someone with first-hand knowledge of the experiences of marginalised and disadvantaged communities. You’ll bring this insight to help ensure that our grant making processes are in tune with real need.

Remote based, the role will provide you a great deal of autonomy - but with support on hand from the Board chair and colleagues. Monthly meetings in North London will be a mix of Board sessions and development planning.

Application Instructions

Please provide a brief summary of why you are the right person for the job.
