Role Purpose

The Education Trainer supports the Education Manager in the design and delivery of specialist, evidence-informed trainings programmes for education professionals equipping them to support bereaved children, young people, adults and communities.

Using trauma-informed, evidence-based content delivered through both digital platforms and in-person, the role ensures schools and educational staff have practical tools to identify, respond to, support and/or refer bereaved children, young people and adults.

We are recruiting for two Education Trainers, both to work full-time hours (35 per week). One term-time only and the other to work year-round.

Main Responsibilities

• Working collaboratively with the Education Team and the team’s administrator to co-ordinate training requests responses.
• Working with the Education Manager and colleagues, support the design of training programmes tailored to the needs of the training delegates.
• Deliver the organisation’s education training packages online and/or face-to-face as required.
• Work with the team to ensure efficient flow of processes and procedures.
• To research key areas in need of bereavement training packages.
• To be an ambassador for the ASK Me Training and Manifesto to early years, primary, secondary and higher education institutions and professionals.
• To form key relationships with individuals and organisations to promote off-the-shelf training as well as rapid response, ASK Me and bespoke education training.
• To work with the team to develop new education training programmes and content.
• Work with the Marketing and Communications Team to promote education training programmes.
• Collaborate with the team to develop and review feedback framework to evaluate the training.
• Use feedback to improve the current training offer and identify gaps in education training offers.

 Communication and Relationships

• Build and maintain effective relationships with education professionals across early years, primary, secondary and higher education sector.
• Act as an ambassador for the organisation’s ASK Me Training and Manifesto and other key education programmes, promoting values of empathy, inclusion and best practice in bereavement support.
• Collaborate closely with the Education Manager, colleagues and the Education Administrator to co-ordinate training requests and ensure a seamless client experience.
• Engage with internal teams, including Marketing and Communications, to publicise training offers and strengthen audience reach.

The Role

You’ll lead the Association’s work in East of England, focusing on what matters most to stroke survivors and ensuring this work has real, measurable impact. Key responsibilities will include:

• Promote and support the delivery of Try Boccia, providing partners with the tools, resources, and guidance required to deliver inclusive Boccia sessions across a range of community settings

Job Summary

This role forms a key part of a new Strategy & Insight Team at Bowel Cancer UK, which seeks to build core capabilities to enable us to be as effective as we can be for people affected by bowel cancer. The Audience Insight Specialist will be an internal leader, building our capability to understand our core audiences and the people we need to reach to achieve our strategic goals. You will support a cultural shift in how the charity takes an audience-led approach to planning, decision-making, and communications, as our CRM, data infrastructure, and Strategy & Insight functions continue to develop. Making best use of internal and external sources, you will distil data into meaningful insight, tailored to different audiences. You will support a consistent approach to audiences across the organisation, while flexing to meet the needs of different teams, ensuring that any understanding of audience is rooted in evidence.

The Marketing Officer/Senior Marketing Officer (Retention) at CBM UK is an important role in making our life-changing work possible. Advertised at Officer or Senior Officer level (subject to experience), the role delivers direct and digital fundraising appeals to existing individual supporters, high value donors, and churches to drive donations and grow awareness, through creative and impactful fundraising communications.

Key responsibilities:

The position holder is responsible for developing fundraising campaigns for individual supporter audiences; supporting the development of the annual public fundraising plan; building supporter journeys and testing new channels and messages.

Working closely with the Head of Marketing and across the Fundraising & Communications team, the Marketing Officer/Senior Marketing Officer (Retention) is responsible for planning and delivering a significant marketing programme, carrying out fundraising campaigns to existing supporters across multiple channels, including direct mail, email, and telephone.

Cultivation appeals (60%)

a. Deliver regular and inspiring off-line direct marketing campaigns to existing supporters on time and within budget. The role holder will plan, co-ordinate and prepare fundraising appeals. This involves creating briefs, working alongside freelance copywriters and designers, and managing print and fulfilment suppliers.

1. Lead on the delivery of online appeals and updates, including the planning and coordination of mass supporter emails.
2. Optimise the performance (traffic and income) of website fundraising pages, including appeal landing pages and donation platforms. Ensuring pages on the CBM website are engaging to existing and new audiences and utilising Search Engine Optimisation tools.
3. Lead on the planning and implementation of feeding back to existing supporters on our work as part of their donor journey, through leading on CBM UK’s supporter newsletters, e-news and prayer diaries.
4. Prepare internal marketing materials for CBM UK colleagues and provide briefings for supporter facing teams ahead of each campaign.
5. Develop excellent working relationships with existing and new agencies and suppliers, including marketing agencies, writers, designers, print suppliers and mailing houses. Source new agencies and suppliers as appropriate.

High donor fundraising (20%)

1. Lead on CBM’s high donor fundraising programme, through planning and managing regular communications and fundraising asks to this segment of supporters, working towards achieving annual income growth targets.
2. Work alongside the Supporter Relations team to develop and carry out a donor journey for high donors, including personalised communications through phone, email and post.

New product testing (10%)

1. Proactively test and develop new fundraising ideas, channels and messages to engage with and raise funds from new and existing audiences.
2. Maintain awareness and anticipation of charity sector trends relating to direct marketing and keep abreast of competitor activities to enable CBM to respond and adapt quickly where appropriate.

Planning and reporting (10%)

1. Analysis and reporting of appeals and projects, providing learnings that will enable informed decision making around future activities.
2. Develop a good knowledge of the CRM system (Salesforce) and ensure appropriate recording and reporting of direct marketing activity.

Other

1. Ensure the consistent implementation of CBMs brand, key messages and style guide in fundraising activities.
2. Awareness of, and compliance across direct marketing, of Fundraising Regulator and Data Protection legal requirements (GDPR and PECR).

Starting Salary: £59,098 (if London-based); £55,587 (if not London-based)

Location: Remote role - can be based anywhere in England or Wales with an expectation of regular travel across England and Wales including overnight trips to London

About the Role 

This is a key role strengthening the Foundation’s ability to work confidently within complex local systems and to support systems change across England and Wales. You will play a central role in shaping and developing our systems change approach, ensuring it is practical, consistent and embedded across our work in places. 

You will work closely with regional teams and partners to support effective collaboration within local systems, ensuring our work is well-informed by context and lived experience. A key part of the role is enabling others - building confidence, capability and practical understanding of systems change across the organisation. 

This is not a delivery-heavy role. Instead, you will focus on enabling, coaching and strengthening practice so that colleagues and partners are better equipped to work within complexity and drive meaningful change. 

About You 

We are looking for someone with strong, practical experience of working within systems change, place-based work or complex multi-stakeholder environments. You will bring confidence in working across boundaries and supporting others to navigate complexity. 

You will be skilled in coaching, facilitation and capability building, with the ability to translate systems thinking into practical approaches others can use. Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work credibly with a wide range of stakeholders will be essential.
