The Brent Centre for Young People is the leading mental health charity for young people in Northwest London, helping over 750 young people a year with a wide range of issues. We offer specialised treatment in the areas of depression, suicide prevention, tackling self-harm, eating disorders, exam anxiety and more. Our approach is rooted in psychoanalytic psychotherapy. We aim to reach significantly more young people in the years ahead, drawing on our heritage that combines specialist treatment in-house and outreach into communities. The Brent Centre is also an important Research Centre on Adolescent Breakdown and Adolescent Psychotherapy.
We are seeking an experienced, strategic and proactive fundraiser to join our growing team as we embark on our next phase of expansion. Building on strong foundations in trusts and foundations, BCYP is now investing in legacies and community fundraising, two income streams that will be central to our long-term sustainability and ability to reach significantly more young people in the years ahead.
This is a rare opportunity to help shape and grow our legacies and community fundraising at a pivotal point for the charity. You will define the approach, create a strong pipeline of supporters and partners, and deliver activities that build awareness and generate sustainable income, combining strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.
We’re looking for someone with energy, motivation and experience who thrives on building, someone who can turn ideas into action, work at pace and bring others with them. You will be confident developing and delivering supporter journeys, community fundraising initiatives and legacy marketing and stewardship, with strong relationship-building skills and excellent attention to detail. Above all, you will share BCYP’s commitment to ensuring young people can access specialist mental health support, and you will help us grow long-term value and impact through fundraising.
The role will lead the creation and delivery of Community Fundraising and Legacies programmes, establishing two core income streams that will drive sustainable growth. It will define strategy, build insight-led, multi-channel programmes and design supporter journeys that deepen engagement over time, from first gift to long term support and legacy giving.
Working across the organisation the postholder will embed a strong supporter focus, ensuring that fundraising is integrated into wider engagement activity. You will take ownership of income performance, budgets and continuous improvement through data, testing and learning.

You’ll be playing a vital role in our legacy fundraising, taking responsibility for a wide variety of legacy cases, and ensuring we receive funds to support veterans and their families to live well after service.

About the Role
Legacies are key to our work at Help for Heroes. It is thanks to our generous supporters that we can continue providing practical help and hope to veterans and families across the UK. We wouldn’t be able to continue without them.
The Legacy Case Officer is key in ensuring we will receive these gifts. The role has responsibility for almost half of our legacy income, covering a significant number of non-contentious residuary, specific and life interest cases.
It involves a high degree of autonomy as you will help protect the charity’s income and reputation through sensitive case management, and acting within the limits delegated. You will be supported throughout by your colleagues and manager, with additional learning & development available.
This role is remote to ensure we can recruit the best candidate, but with an expectation to be able to travel occasionally to our Head Office or London for meetings
About You
You have first-hand experience of dealing in legacy administration, capable of dealing with a variety of charitable gifts and matters. It is not essential to have knowledge of resolving contentious cases, but you are able to identify which may require additional support.
You will be experienced in Charity Legacy Administration with a ILM qualification (CiCLA or Diploma) or relevant experience from the charity or legal sector.
As an individual:
You are also willing and able to travel as required for meetings, training or other, including to Downton (SP5 3RB) or London, with occasional travel to other UK locations. You are welcome to ask for further information during the interview stage.
You are also comfortable staying away from home overnight on occasion, when required to support events or team activities.

About IKWRO
IKWRO –Women’s Rights Organisation (IKWRO) is an award-winning charity founded (as the Iranian and Kurdish Women’s Rights Organisation) in 2002. IKWRO is a registered charity which provides advice and support to Middle Eastern, North African and Afghan women and girls living in the UK, who have experienced, or are at risk of all forms of “honour” based abuse, including; forced marriage, child marriage and female genital mutilation (FGM), or domestic abuse.
We work with women and girls of all ages, including lesbian women, bisexual women and trans women. We offer services in Kurdish, Farsi, Arabic, Dari, Pashto, Turkish and English. IKWRO offers free advice, advocacy and counselling services and operates a refuge which provides safe accommodation and specialist support to single women at risk of “honour” based abuse, forced marriage and domestic abuse.
IKWRO also provides training for women and girls to help them understand their rights in the UK. In partnership with other organisations, we assist survivors of abuse with accessing English language classes and education, training and employment opportunities.
As well as supporting women and girls directly, we offer advice and training for professionals from the statutory and voluntary sectors, to better understand the needs of the women and girls we represent, the types of abuse they experience and to provide best practice prevention and support services.
We campaign to increase awareness and improve laws and policies to tackle all forms of “honour” based abuse and harmful practices including; forced marriage, child marriage, marital captivity, female genital mutilation, virginity testing and hymenoplasty, discrimination by sharia courts and to push for better laws and policies to protect women’s and girl’s rights.
Purpose of Job
The Fundraising Officer will work as part of the Fundraising and Marketing team and will be responsible for:
• Nurturing relationships with existing and prospective donors
• Sustaining and developing our group of individual and community-based supporters.

The role:
As Community & Volunteer Engagement Coordinator you will be assisting Peter Bedford Housing Association with its current strategic aims of making a difference for Tenants and Participants and achieving more through ambitious partnerships.
Situated within the housing association’s Enterprises & Training Team, you will lead the delivery of a specific project seeking to tackle food poverty and long-term development needs such as wellbeing and social connection.
You will work alongside the Pantry Coordinator to lead on developing a wrap-around service to enable access to skills training, IAG, and volunteering opportunities for PBHA’s tenants and local communities.
In this role you will develop partnerships to help Peter Bedford Housing Association listen to community needs collaborating with groups supporting global majority individuals to co-produce activities with wellbeing and community connection at its core. A key target of this important project is to work collaboratively to ensure Peter Bedford Housing Association activities and services are increasingly accessible and relevant to any local person who wishes to join.

Benefits

About the role
The Regional Communications Officer role is an exciting and varied opportunity to work with Emmaus communities across the South of the UK, helping to raise their profile and engage supporters.
You will work closely with up to four Emmaus communities to identify their communications needs and deliver a mix of activity to help them achieve their goals. As part of a wider team, you will also share ideas and build on each other’s experience to maximise PR, digital and communications opportunities.
This is a hybrid role, offering the flexibility to work from home or from within an Emmaus community.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders will be key to this role. Regular travel to your allocated communities is essential, typically at least once a week. This will initially be Emmaus Norfolk & Waveney, Emmaus Colchester and Emmaus Suffolk, so we are looking for a candidate based in Norwich, Colchester, Ipswich or the surrounding areas. You will also attend quarterly team meetings, usually held in Birmingham, although these may occasionally take place elsewhere in the UK and may require an overnight stay.
This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours a week.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone with a strong communications skillset and at least two years’ experience in a busy communications, public relations or marketing role. While not essential, knowledge of homelessness and the charity sector would be an advantage.
Creativity and passion are essential. You will have a broad range of communications skills, enjoy seeing your ideas come to life and be keen to continue developing your experience within a national homelessness charity.
