About us
Transparency International is a global movement sharing one vision: a world in which government politics, business and the daily lives of people are free of corruption. Transparency International UK is the UK national chapter of this movement. We work with the British government, parliamentarians, civil society and the private sector to tackle corruption at home, addressing the UK’s global corruption footprint and helping multinational companies prevent corruption by operating with integrity. We are also home to two major global programmes tackling corruption in the Defence and Security sector and Global Health on behalf of the wider Transparency International movement.
The UK Programme seeks to put an end to corruption in the UK and the role of the UK in facilitating corruption abroad. About us
Carers’ Hub plays a vital role in Lambeth, supporting the many unpaid carers across the borough. Our work stems from the fact that carers often go about their roles despite the toll it might take on their own wellbeing, often having to make sacrifices that hamper their own ability to lead a normal life. Whether financial, educational or otherwise, we seek to limit the challenges that carers face. We achieve this through four core workstreams:
-
raising awareness of carers,
-
influencing local policy through community engagement activities,
-
improving carer wellbeing and
-
connecting carers to each other and to support and training opportunities through our services.
We welcome requests for informal chats to find out more about us as an organisation and the role. For more details, including how to get in touch, please see the Application Pack.
Closing date: Wednesday 17th April 2024 at 9 am.

Appeal Director
£70,000
Northwood (LB Hillingdon) and hybrid
Full-time
Two year initial contract with review and possible extension
Opened in 1926 as the ‘Haven for elderly actors & actresses’, Denville Hall has been providing care for actors and members of the wider theatrical industry ever since.
Care, happiness and dignity are our core values at Denville Hall.
We are one of just two adult social care facilities in the UK that is dedicated to the support of members of the theatre dance and music professions. While some achieve notable success, there are many who do not and pursuing a career in theatre and the arts can be a precarious business.
Denville Hall already provides a range of residential care services that are tailored to individual need and wishes, which can support people over time. The addition of sheltered accommodation offers the opportunity for us to extend the length of care and support that we are able to offer members of the arts professions whom we exist to serve.
The need for sheltered housing accommodation is clear and present. Quite simply, people are living longer and like all of us, they want to be independent as possible for as long as possible.
We have the plans and all the necessary planning permission for what we anticipate will be a very successful and high-profile £12m capital appeal. Already we have support promised from some of the UK’s house-hold names and are hopeful that we will also receive support from trusts and foundations dedicated to the support of the arts.
All that is needed now is an Appeal Director to deliver on all the promise that exists and that will leave a last legacy for both Denville Hall for the next 100 years as we will celebrate our centenary in 2026.
