​We need an exceptional People Team Advisor. We need an exceptional People Advisor. This is a key post in supporting the management and staff of the FEC. The Forces Employment Charity to be effective in their roles and provide the very best quality of provision to our external delivery. The successful candidate will have responsibility and accountability for the full employee support life cycle and will be involved in all areas of the Human Resources function under the direction of Head of People. The post holder will be expected to work as part of the HR team in the provision of a comprehensive HR service. The post holder will be required to work closely with all employees at all levels

This is a full-time, 35 hours per week, hybrid contract reporting to Head of People. The successful candidate will be required to travel to the London office 2 days per week – immediate start date but will wait for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities: 

​

• Ensuring the provision of a high-quality People (HR) service to all stakeholders in all employee life cycle in generalist capacity including resource, employee relations, learning & development, and reward, in accordance with the consistent application of charity policies and procedures and compliance with employment law and best practice.
• Produce employment contracts and variation to contracts in line with authorised management requests.

• Manage and Support onboarding processes with People Administrator.

• Work closely with the People and Payroll Department to ensure workforce information is kept up to date, employment changes are notified, and any problems identified and addressed.

• Issue timely and accurate payroll instructions, to meet payroll deadlines by working with People Team in specific Administrator.

• Manage staff sickness and absence in accordance with the sickness absence management policy, notifying team managers of absence thresholds and advising on Company Sick Pay limitations.

• Manage and support the implementation and monitoring of HR processes including pre-employment checks (right to work), Enhanced DBS vetting and MOD security clearance, employment contracts and variations, starters and leavers, induction, mandatory/other training, probationary period review, performance and development review, maternity/paternity/shared parental leave, flexible working requests and the evaluation of training.

• Provide and Support Administrator in the management information reports relating to HR, for example absence data, annual leave allowances, training compliance etc.
• Work with team managers to ensure all information (e.g., jobs descriptions, working hours and patterns, etc.) is consistent and up to date.

• Support Head of People in the development of HR policies, Rewards/Benefits, and other HR related projects, as requested.

• Input, maintenance, and provision of all HR data held within the HR Management System (PeopleHR) ensuring a high degree of accuracy.

• Maintain the People Team cloud-based e-filing system to ensure documents and information are retained and easy to locate.

• Initiate and co-ordinate progress of all mandatory staff training (in accordance with the training matrix) reporting compliance issues to managers.

• Be prepared to support all HR Administrator activities during periods of absence.

• Working alongside People Administrator and supporting the Head of People and site leadership team driving the delivery of the people agenda across the organization.

• Supporting the management team with ER issues and providing generalist support and advice on a variety of cases

• Playing an active role in forward thinking and fast action responses to the control of absence and retention ensuring contractual KPIs are achieved and maintained.

• Ensuring relevant management training is identified, sourced, and delivered, promoting a culture of learning and development across the organisation.

• Partnering with the other business areas and providing support in HR related activities. 
• Participate in the charity’s appraisal scheme and support staff compliance (probation and annual appraisals).​

• Be familiar with all charity policies and be prepared to advise/direct staff on compliance as appropriate.

• Ensure Data Protection and GDPR compliance.

• Maintain awareness of the requirements of the Health and Safety Policy and Display Screen Equipment assessments.

• Work to the charity’s quality standards and systems within the context of the ISO 9001 Business Management System.

• Previous experience of working in a fast-paced HR team, providing first level advice on HR policies and procedures, employment law and employee relations issues.

You must be a great communicator with experience in prospect research, writing funding proposals and developing relationships with trust representatives. This is an exciting time to join RABI as we develop a strategy aimed at raising seven-figure sums in 3-4 years to support the farming community.

As part of a growing and dynamic Fundraising team, your main duties will be to research trust and foundations, create and send applications and steward relationship with current and future charitable trusts. As part of the team, you will also be involved in generating funds across various other income streams.

Key responsibilities:

• Research and identify charitable trusts which may provide future financial support to RABI whilst maximising the potential for giving from trusts with which the Charity already has a relationship.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key trust representatives.
• Prepare, submit and monitor applications to charitable trusts including the maintenance of records of applications, grant receipts and successful/failed submissions. Ensure Trusts are thanked for donations in timely fashion.
• Updating the CRM system to ensure activities, communications, donations and other important details are accurately recorded and maintained.
• Compile statistical and background research to support the development of new and existing relationships with Charitable trusts.
• Monitor trust income for finance purposes, ensuring all donations or grants are coded appropriately, including any restrictions upon the use of the income.

About this role

The Digital Acquisition Officer is a key member of the Mass Engagement team and part of the wider Development team. The Mass Engagement team exists to raise awareness of Reprieve’s work, shift public opinion and to inspire support. Your role will be to engage members of the public, grow the Reprieve’s community and help establish our supporter base.

It is an exciting time for our team, as we launch their first mass engagement strategy to promote the long-term growth of the programme. Digital fundraising boomed between 2020 and 2021 but has faced challenges in 2022 and 2023. As we launch our new strategy, we are looking for a creative and enthusiastic individual, keen to try new things and learn through testing, excited about communicating Reprieve’s work to our supporters and inspiring them to donate.

You will be key to the acquisition of new supporters, leading on developing and managing lead generation across our platforms, building paid for and organic content, and developing new and innovative ways to engage supporters with the support of the Head of Digital and Mass Engagement.

As a small team we have a collaborative and “all hands on deck” approach, ready to step in and support each other. This means at times you will support on our retention and stewardship work, as well as helping the wider Development Team when needed.

You will share our commitment to fighting racism and advancing racial justice, as well as help craft comms that can take supporters with us on this work whilst ensuring we do this in a way that does not compound racist structures.

AFK (Action For Kids) is a national charity helping young people with disabilities to develop their independence and find employment. Our vision is a world where all people living with a disability get to lead the life they choose.  As part of this we provide bespoke employment skills and organise work experience placements across North London.  At a national level, we provide mobility equipment not available on the NHS for disabled children and young people up to the age of 26.

Job Purpose

To support young people aged 18+ who have disabilities and/or are neurodiverse to gain employment. The role will be to primarily liaise with businesses and employers to broker new opportunities for supported and unsupported employment.  You will also work with a small caseload of young people, assessing their employability skills. You will work closely with the Employment & Skills team to place young people from the Employment Coaches caseloads into employment, as well as locate some voluntary roles and work placements. You will deliver one to one job coaching to enable young people to progress towards their own goals and objectives.

Working Conditions

The post is 35 hours a week, normally between 9.30am – 5.30pm. The post holder may be expected to work some evenings and weekends as required by the job. There is a TOIL policy. This role is peripatetic within London.

Principle Responsibilities

1. Engage with businesses and employers to source and secure employment opportunities for the young people AFK work with.
2. Encourage businesses and employers to offer volunteering, work tasters and work placements that may also lead to paid opportunities for young people.
3. Develop and maintain knowledge of the local labour market & opportunities relating to employment, work tasters, work placements and volunteering.
4. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with local employer groups, statutory, voluntary and private organisations to support the development of suitable opportunities.

Job Purpose:

The Fundraising and Administration Officer role primarily focuses on providing excellent supporter care and administrative support within the fundraising department. • Respond to enquiries from supporters, prospective supporters and volunteers via telephone, e-mail, and post, maintaining excellent supporter relations.
• Ensure timely and appropriate acknowledgments, using both standard and bespoke correspondence.
• To adhere to administrative procedures to ensure the delivery of a high-quality service which is compliant with all relevant legislation, policies, regulations, and guidelines.
• Provide admin support for Direct Mail letters and appeals, including the use of mail merge, when required.

Community Fundraising:

• Co-ordinate the recruitment and appropriate use of volunteers to support fundraising.

• Support the formation of volunteer fundraising groups.
• Support ongoing and new events within the UK, which may include occasional weekend and evening work.
• Take the lead with the co-ordination and administration of public collections in the UK.
• Take the lead in monitoring fundraising merchandise, and liaise with suppliers, for fundraising materials, including Christmas Cards.

Digital Marketing:

• Support in developing UK digital fundraising opportunities.
• Administer digital acquisition campaigns in the UK e.g. through digital advertising, to generate new donors.

Database Management (Training will be provided):

• Create and maintain contact records on Salesforce, ensuring supporter information is kept up to date by recording changes to mailing preferences, gift aid eligibility and contact details etc.
• Database maintenance and housekeeping e.g. identifying and merging duplicate records, removing, or archiving redundant data, adhering to GDPR protocols.

Finance Administration (Training will be provided):

• Efficiently process and reconcile incoming donations, received daily by post, online and phone. Bank cheques and cash on a weekly basis, and process credit card and CAF donations.
• Record all donations to Salesforce, ensuring the accurate coding of income to the correct source and supporter.
• Administer new Direct Debit instructions.
• Support monthly and quarterly reports demonstrating fundraising income received against budget, to inform the management team and provide accurate forecasting.
• Scan and upload credit card statements and invoices for payment by the Finance team.
• Record and reconcile petty cash expenditure.
• Assist the Finance team in the reconciliation of all income received, responding to any queries.

General Office Administration:

• Order office stationery and fundraising supplies, as required.
• Co-ordinate general office maintenance, as required.
• Arrange accommodation for staff travel to Shrewsbury.

About the Service

Solace Women’s Aid provides a wide range of services to victim/survivors of domestic and sexual abuse in Bexley including an advocacy and support service and specialist services co-located in a number of services. Solace works in partnership with the police to ensure that victim/survivors of domestic abuse are able to access the necessary support. As part of this partnership Solace are recruiting for an IDVA to be co-located in Lewisham Police Station, covering crisis intervention, risk assessment, safety planning, assessment of needs and individual support planning. A key aspect of the role will be to advocate on behalf of service users to improve access to support in Bexley. This role will be based at Lewisham Police Station and within the Bexley Office.  

About the Role

A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen to work as a Police IDVA for Solace co-located in Lewisham Police station. As the IDVA you will provide immediate support for victim/survivors of abuse at all levels of intervention including carrying out risk and needs assessments, safety planning and providing short-term support and onward referral. In addition, you will act as the Police lead for Solace in Bexley, providing advice and guidance to Solace staff and the Police.

The Police IDVA will hold a case load of 15 cases.

You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team and collaborating with external agencies in your work and being the direct link to MARAC for Solace within Bexley.

Community Fundraising Officer – Temporary Position from May 24 for 6 months (£24-25k)

We’re building our new fundraising team and this temporary role will play an important part in accelerating our ambitious plans to increase annual income during 2024/25.

You will become the fourth member of the Fundraising Team (there are 3 full time staff) and will help to support the fundraising team.

Sepsis is the immune system’s overreaction to an infection or injury. There are over 245,000 cases each year in the UK with approximately 48,000 deaths. UKST aims to reduce preventable deaths from this ‘killer’ condition. We achieve this by:

· Raising awareness

· Supporting those affected by sepsis

· Educating health professionals

· Lobbying political organisations for better sepsis and severe infection care

Key Responsibilities

1. Deliver supporter journeys i.e. fundraising resources and stewardship communications to maximise supporter numbers, retention and engagement.

2. Use UKST’s CRM system (Raiser’s Edge) to accurately capture fundraiser information and key data contributing to the improved development and implementation of fundraising processes.

3. Communicate proactively and effectively with team members to pass on all relevant information, deliver excellent supporter care and to maximise fundraising opportunities. 

4. Provide excellent customer service members of the public, either via phone, mail and in person, help to develop Fundraising activity whilst also offering our Support Services where necessary.

5. Represent the charity as and when required in schools, local businesses, and community groups, including speaking at events if – not essential

6. Keep up to date with best practice in fundraising and ensure compliance with the latest legislation and guidelines.

7. Assist in prioritising & managing enquiries about our Community Fundraising Programme via our dedicated inboxes.

8. Work collaboratively with the fundraising team and our Communications and Marketing Team to ensure maximum press and social media coverage is obtained for UKST’s community fundraising activities.
