About the role:

We are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual who will promote and increase engagement with the Humberside ABC Service. The Humberside ABC service will provide services to anyone affected by crime and as an Engagement Officer you will work alongside our team to enhance the offer we provide by managing volunteers, promoting the service and working with our partners including the police.

As an Engagement Officer you will be responsible for:

• Recruiting and managing a diverse team of volunteers including Criminal Justice Champions (CJCs)
• Promoting the work of the service through events and presentations
• Providing training and awareness sessions to partner agencies including Humberside Police
• Maintaining and developing our online presence including updating website information and controlling our social media accounts
• Income generation and identifying fundraising opportunities

We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills who is motivated, engaging and innovative. You will play an integral part in developing and embedding our Criminal Justice Champion (CJC) and Victim Friendly Organisation (VFO) programmes across Humberside to ensure that victims have a voice within the criminal justice system and organisations are promoting victim's rights and voices.

You will attend events, network with other agencies and develop and deliver presentations to both internal and external colleagues, community groups and other identified audiences. This means that although the role is home-based, regular travel is required within Humberside and occasionally across the wider region.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Hate Crime Reporting Coordinator. As Hate Crimes are still under reported, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in increasing awareness of Hate Crime in Barnet and working on a multi-agency basis to coordinate community awareness raising events, ensuring residents, statutory and voluntary organisations, and others are informed about Hate Crime and know how to report it.

This role requires community engagement, delivering staff training workshops, monitoring and reporting hate crime data, and a commitment to a victim-centred approach.

Key Responsibilities:

· Engage with residents and diverse communities, including disabled people, LGBTQ+ groups, and Gypsy Roma Traveller groups to raise awareness about reporting hate crime.

· Coordinate communications and community events to raise awareness of Hate Crime and encourage reporting.

· Organise and conduct workshops and forums for diverse community groups.

The Wingfield Resource Centre currently provides support for individuals experiencing mental health crisis or who require preventative support. We operate 365 days a year from 6pm to 11pm. Our Peer Support service will offer both intensive and low key peer support services. You will support people who are going through a difficult time, by sharing your experiences, helping them discover the strengths and developing skills that will lead to wellness. But it's only possible with the help of people like you. 

Day-to-day, you’ll work with the support staff, mental health nurses and the people who use our services to develop an inclusive and effective peer support service, offering individual and group support. You will help to contribute to the development of organisational policies, procedures, protocols, systems and guidance to underpin the provision of peer support across the service. About the role

Driving tasks

• Undertake driving assignments for Sightsavers staff, project visitors and consultants as required.

• Undertake courier or dispatch tasks and duties payment of bills, mail collection, delivery & distribution of letters.
• Receive and direct Uganda Country Office (UCO) visitors in absence of the Project Officer, providing information where needed.
• Respond to general requests to Project Implementation Unit (PIU).
• In liaison with Programme Coordinator, distribute send documents to Partners.
• Provide administrative support in filing, photocopying, and binding documents.

In line with the Church of England’s Routemap to Net Zero Carbon, the Diocese of Leeds has an ambition to achieve net zero carbon (NZC) by 2030 across our diocesan estate. To deliver this ambition, a detailed net zero carbon programme that has been developed is being implemented to decarbonise the 587 churches, 57 school and 451 domestic properties for clergy within the diocese.

We are recognised as a leading diocese within the whole of the Church of England’s NZC programme, and we anticipate being at the forefront of seeking funding for decarbonisation projects in this sector.

A recent piece of research for the Diocese of Leeds has identified potential NZC funding sources across including community funding, grant funding, statutory funding, high net worth individuals, corporate donors. A funding action plan has been proposed.

To support this extensive programme of work we are seeking an experienced Funding Officer to work alongside a growing vibrant and committed diocesan team of NZC officers. The diocese has gained national Church of England funding to support this role until the end 2025.

Windsor Road is a registered CQC residential care home which offers 11 beds to people experiencing mental ill health. We offer individual one-to-one interventions and sessions such as social anxiety, anxiety, finance and budgeting, positive self-image, building self-esteem, support with diet and nutrition, healthy eating, sleep hygiene, DBT skills, building resilience, life skills, solution-based therapy, stress management etc. We offer a range of activities in our service planner including a daily coffee morning, a ‘here and now’ group, community gardening, cooking, arts and crafts, social inclusion and family and friends’ days.  We support our residents with daily living skills where this is needed, such as support with shopping and cleaning tasks, this could include prompting or supporting alongside them. We also work closely with other agencies and our residents wider care teams, so good communication skills are required. And of course, all of this is recorded on our information management systems, so good record keeping and documentation is also essential. Our service consists of 8 24/7 Recovery Workers, a Service Manager and Registered Manager.

Responsible for helping and inspiring the people who use our services to achieve independence in the community, we’ll rely on you to work with them to come up with a person-centred support plan that will see them achieve their goals and aspirations, as part of your key worker role. Whether it’s developing their domestic and finance management skills or accessing work or volunteering or educational opportunities, one thing’s for sure ‐ you will have every chance to shine.
 
Care home, mental health support or social care experience is preferred and you will be required to administer medication and complete a medication qualification and the care certificate. Candidates with an understanding of mental health issues and/or lived experience would be welcomed. More important is your caring and compassionate nature and empathy and enthusiasm for helping others. Whatever your background, you’ll need to be happy to work both independently and within a team and willing to be part of a weekly rota system and available for on call duties as well as completing sleep in shifts.

We have one permanent full-time role for 37.5 hours per week and one fixed term part-time appointment ending on 13 January 2025 for 30 hours per week. The post holder will be required to work a minimum of one sleep-in shift per week.

Brendan House is a 24-hour, nonclinical, Short Term Crises Intervention Service. The service provides accommodation for a period of up to six nights, for those with mild to medium mental health problems, who are experiencing a mental health crisis that requires a safe and supportive place to stay, in order to avoid admission to hospital or A&E.  We provide 1-1 daily Support Sessions which are designed to help individuals to work through the period of Crises, identifying relevant coping strategies with professional support, with the view of maintaining wellbeing.

Some relevant experience within a similar role would be beneficial, although full training will be provided. About the role:

The position is based at our Lewes Crown Court office, working 15 hours per week Thursday and Friday 9am to 5pm. Hybrid working meaning 1 day office based and 1 day home based.

As a Young Witness Service Caseworker you will be:

• Supporting child and young person witnesses and victims of crime by providing information along with practical & emotional help
• Supporting child and young person witnesses to navigate the court system, providing advocacy and support directly to witnesses and anyone else affected by the crime
• Completing needs and risk assessments with victims
• Case management and updating databases in line with GDPR & safeguarding regulations
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships and collaborative working with local partnerships, other agencies and participating in community events.

You will need:

• To be able to work without direct supervision, prioritising work to meet competing demands
• Good communication skills, able to show empathy & deal with difficult situations
• To demonstrate good IT skills, able to use Microsoft Office & internal systems

About the role:

This role will work across Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent, but will be based in our Stafford office. Hybrid working is considered following probationary period. Travel across the whole of Staffordshire will be required.

As an IDVA you will be asked to:

• Provide a pro-active, high quality, frontline service to victims of domestic abuse through on-going risk assessment, individual safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support.
• Work within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse to keep safety central to all services for victims of domestic abuse
• Specialise in working with Child to Parent abuse and delivering bespoke services - promoting the service and raising awareness of issues arising, minimising barriers and improving access to support

You will need:

• experience of providing support those affected by domestic abuse
• experience of undertaking need and risk assessments and creating safety plans
• experience of the MARAC and other partnership processes
• experience of multi agency working
